Apple TV+ Offers Free Streaming of Shows

Some of Apple TV+’s originals and films are now free, via the streamer’s app. No subscription required, reports Deadline.

User can just download apple.co/FreeForEveryone in the Apple TV app.

To watch, users must sign into the app; the offer is for a limited time. The Apple TV app is also available on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, Mac, select Samsung and LG smart TVs and Amazon Fire TV and Roku devices.

The line-up is eclectic: nature shows, kids shows, acclaimed dramas, such as “Dickinson,” as well as “Little America” from the creators of “The Big Sick.” Separately, Apple is also promoting the current Apple TV Channels offers alongside the Apple TV+ freebies.

Rolling up its cachet names, in January, the streamer signed Emmy-winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus and “Roma” director Alfonso Cuarón last October. Steven Spielberg’s “Amazing Stories” is currently running.

Apple TV+ originals include:

“Dickinson”
The acclaimed, offbeat drama series starring Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld (“True Grit”) explores the societal and gender constraints of the young rebel 19th-century poet Emily Dickinson.

“Little America”
The anthology series features eight amazing true stories of immigrants. It’s from Lee Eisenberg (“The Office”) and executive producers Kumail Nanjiani, Emily V. Gordon (“The Big Sick”).

“The Elephant Queen”
This genre-crossing wildlife documentary, narrated by Chiwetel Eljiofor, received two Critics’ Choice Documentary Awards nominations. The story follows Athena, an elephant matriarch, and her family’s journey to a better home.

“Servant”
A psychological thriller from M. Night Shyamalan about a Philadelphia couple in mourning and a mysterious force that enters their home.

“For All Mankind”
“For All Mankind” is a counter-narrative. It’s a what-if story: The USSR beats the U.S. to the moon, altering the lives of NASA astronauts, engineers and their families.

“Ghostwriter”
Several youngsters have to solve a mystery, kick-started by a classic book. It’s a story of friendship and family and makes reading cool. Since its premiere, “Ghostwriter” has earned several Parents’ Choice Awards.

“Helpsters”
A new live-action preschool series from the makers of “Sesame Street.” Meet Cody and the Helpsters – fun monsters who love to solve problems — from mastering a magic trick to planning a party.
