Peacock, the new streaming service from NBCU has officially launched. While their is a free tier that offers 13,000 hours of content including in-season shows, you may want to upgrade to Peacock Premium which starts at $4.99 a month.
With Peacock Premium, you will get full seasons of shows, a deep library of past seasons from shows like “Yellowstone,” “Saved by the Bell,” “Law & Order: SVU,” original series like “Brave New World” and live access to Premier League.
But if you don’t want to add to your streaming spend, you’re in luck. For a lot of subscribers, you might be able to get Peacock Premium free for an extended period or free altogether.
Do You Have Xfinity Internet?
If you have an Xfinity Internet Plan, you will get access to Peacock Premium for free, forever. By default, you will get Peacock Premium for free, but you can always upgrade to their no-ads plan for just $4.99 a month (normally $10).
If you don’t have a streaming device, you can also get a free Xfinity Flex device, which will let you stream Peacock, as well as other streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and Sling TV.
Do You Have Cox?
Similar to Xfinity customers, all Cox customers will also get Peacock Premium for free. If you use a Cox Contour streaming device, you can use the Peacock app on that device, or on any other supported device.
Do You Have An Android or Android TV Device?
If you sign-up for Peacock Premium through Google Play on Android or Android TV, you will get a 3-Month extended free trial (compared the 7-Day Free Trial everyone else gets). At the end of the extended trial period, you can either switch to Peacock’s Free Plan or pay $4.99 a month for Peacock Premium.
The good news is even if you sign-up on your Android or Android TV device, you can Peacock on other platforms the streaming service supports like Apple TV, Xbox, or select Smart TVs.
Everyone Else?
Your best bet is to sign-up for a 7-Day Free Trial of Peacock Premium. If you want to keep using Peacock Premium after that, the service will cost $4.99 a month or $9.99 a month without ads. Alternatively, you can switch the free plan for in-season shows.
