About ‘Nancy Drew’

Nancy Drew is a busy young lady. She’s not only an amateur detective, but she’s also a waitress at an area diner and a paralegal investigator for her father Carson. However, it’s also safe to say she’s only recently come by that laundry list of positions. Her plans to go to college were put on hold after her mother’s untimely death, and ever since, she’s been doing quite a bit closer to her hometown of Horseshoe Bay.

She was just about to reapply to go back to college when one of the town’s leading social figures was unexpectedly murdered. That prompted her to pick back up her investigator mantle and pursue the hidden truths of life once more.

The first two seasons have been downright frantic. Between murders, ghosts, and family drama getting in the mix — not to mention several episodes devoted to fighting some kind of mermaid-monster thing called the Agleaca — there has been no shortage of big events so far.

As for the third season, that was set up with the return of one of Nancy’s more distant relatives, Temperance Hudson. Hudson brought with her a complete slate of dark events, and once again Nancy’s going to have to put off college to address this latest threat. In the meantime, Nancy and her friends — known collectively as the “Drew Crew” — will even have some romantic entanglements to settle, most of which have been impacted one way or another by various paranormal phenomena.

By now most people are probably thinking that Horseshoe Bay should just be nuked from orbit to make sure all the paranormal beasties don’t get out and overrun the United States. But for those who enjoy the series, it’s more of everything they’ve come to love.
