While there was no announcement at the WWDC Keynote, it looks like Apple may be rolling out PIP support on Apple TV. A user on Twitter, who installed the tvOS 13 Beta 2 release, found that when playing a video, a PIP would come up when you exit the interface.

From the PIP, you can select the “TV” button for options like switching the position of the PIP window or closing it out completely. It isn’t clear, whether this will be available to all app developers, similar to how it works on iPad. If it does that could be nice for those who use some Live TV Streaming Services like PlayStation Vue — as they already support the feature on iPad.
At the WWDC Keynote last month, Apple announced that tvOS will be released this fall with a redesigned home screen, support for user profiles, and control center. The update will also bring new screensavers, as well as the ability to play games with a Xbox or PS4 controller.
