NBCU’s Streaming Service Peacock Will Stream Premier League Games Not Available on Linear TV

Jason Gurwin

NBC revealed that starting next season, customers of Peacock Premium, which is $4.99 a month (or Free for Xfinity and Cox customers), will be able to stream Premier League games that aren’t airing on NBC’s linear channels like NBC AND NBC Sports Network.

According to NBCU, starting in August 2020, soccer fans will be treated to 2,000 hours of Premier League coverage, including more than 140 matches that arenโ€™t available on television, as well as clips and replays of the most exciting moments from the pitch.

It’s not clear whether this will supplement NBC Sports Gold’s Premier League Pass or if it will be a more limited set of games. Until now, games that they don’t air on national or cable television, are streamed by NBC Sports Gold.

Currently, NBC Sports Gold offers two plans - Match Day Pass ($39.99) and Premier League Pass ($64.99).

Most the big clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United will have about four games a season on Premier League Pass, while most other teams will have nearly half their games on the service.

While Match Day Pass ($39.99) comes with live streaming of matches not available on television, Premier League Pass ($64.99) adds the ability to stream all games on-demand, which become available at 9pm ET.
