The NBA announced that as part of their out-of-market streaming service NBA League Pass, at the end of the third quarter, fans will be given the option to buy the rest of the game for $1.99.
This is just the start of the NBA’s foray into selling parts of the game. Starting in December, you will be able to buy individual quarters and halves at a lower price than the $6.99 they charge per game.
Fans can purchase the games through B/R Live, NBA App, or NBA.com.
Similar to last season, the price for NBA League Pass will be $200 for the whole season, with an option to stream a single team for $120 (or $18 per month). Fans can add an in-arena stream to replace commercial breaks for $50 per season.
