Tesla Vehicles Can Now Stream Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, & Hulu + Live TV with New Tesla Theater Feature

Tesla announced a major software update for their fleet of electric vehicles and it has a major benefit for streamers. On Model S, Model X, and Model 3 vehicles — the center console can now stream, Netflix, YouTube, and Hulu. But for those with a subscription to Hulu Live TV, you will be able to stream live TV from your car for the first time.

The feature called Tesla Theater, is only available while the car is parked, so your passengers won’t be able to watch while you are driving. The feature sounds ideal for those who are waiting to pick up their kids or are waiting in a parking lot before a football game. Besides streaming, you will also be able to use Tesla’s new “Car-aoke” feature which will let you sing with your friends on your road trip.

Obviously, it’s expensive to buy a car just because it supports streaming, but as cars become a new form of technology — its nice to see that vehicle manufacturers will allow you to stream on-the-go. In order to access the feature, you will need to receive Software Version 10.0 which is available as an over-the-air update.
