Apple TV+ to Launch in November 1st for $4.99 per month and Free for the First Year with Select Devices

After months of waiting and some speculation, Apple finally announced today that they will be launching Apple TV+ on November 1 in over 100 countries. Their launch will come 2 weeks before the launch of Disney+. The company also announced that the service will be $4.99 per month for the whole family, which is less expensive than its competitors Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ and HBO Max.

When you purchase a new iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV you will receive 1 year subscription to Apple TV+ for free.

Like their competitors, Apple TV+ will also be releasing a host of original programming. Amazing Stories by Steven Spielberg, See starring Jason Momoa & Alfre Woodard, Little America by Kumail Nanjiani, Helpsters by Sesame Street Workshops, Little Voice by J.J. Abrams & Sara Bareilles, and Oprah’s Book Club by Oprah Winfrey are some of the heavy-hitting shows that were previously announced. The company also previously released trailers for The Morning Show starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carrell as well as For All Mankind a show by Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica writer Ronald D. Moore.

Apple has spared no expense when it comes to original content. Reports came out last month saying the company upped their budget from $1 billion to $6 billion—doling out $300 million on the first two seasons of The Morning Show.
