Disney to Unveil Disney+, Their Netflix-Killer, to Investors Tomorrow

Last month, Disney’s CEO Bob Iger announced that they would be unveiling the details of Disney+, their upcoming Netflix-competitor to investors on April 11th. At the same time we learned, that the service will include the entire Disney library which previously was in the Disney Vault. This means that classics like Snow White, The Lion King, Little Mermaid, and newer films like Frozen and Moana will all be made available on the streaming service.

Disney’s OTT service is expected to launch later this year, with original movies and shows including a $100 million, 10 episodes live-action Star Wars TV series from Iron Man director John Favreau. They have already announced television series based on High School Musical and a Thor spin-off called Loki.

Just yesterday, they announced that the service will include a televisions series called Monsters at Work with Billy Crystal and John Goodman returning to their roles of Mike and Sulley from Monsters, Inc. The series picks up six months after the original movie and will be released in 2020.

They will also be making films exclusively available for the service like live action remakes of Lady and the Tramp and The Sword in the Stone, the Anna Kendrick Christmas comedy Noelle, and Timmy Failure, based on the best-selling books.
