Hulu Is Now the Exclusive Streaming Home for ‘Thundercats,’ Both Versions of the Show Available Now
Hulu is once again tapping into that nostalgia bank as the streaming service announced “Thundercats” is now available exclusively on their platform. The streaming service is currently housing both versions of the show, with two seasons, 130 episodes of the original 1985 version, as well as one season, 26 episodes of the 2011 reboot.
The news comes almost a month after Hulu announced they are teaming up with pocket.watch and offering “Smiles and Smarts,” a collection of 100 short-form enriched learning videos, starring nine of pocket.watch’s successful creator partners, such as JillianTubeHD, EvanTubeHD, Karina Garcia, Onyx Family and KidCity.
The pocket.watch shows teach social and developmental skills, as well as activity-base learning. Programs include “HobbyKids TV,” a 13-episode series in the HobbyScience Lab, where kids learn about everything from sharks to volcanoes, and “MarMar Land,” a 12-episode show that teaches preschoolers practical life skills in a fun way.
The goal is to “keep kids engaged and entertained in the summer months,” noted Thanda Belker, senior vice president of global distribution at pocket.watch.
The new pocket.watch slate on Hulu is complemented by the addition of “Ryan’s World Specials - Learn & Play,” a collection of learning and DIY content.
The company also premiered the first season of “Jillian’s Mystery Craft Box” on Hulu in early July.
