Netflix Will Automatically Download New Episodes of Your Favorite Shows on iOS

Last July, Netflix added a feature to their Android App called Smart Downloads which deletes completed episodes and replaces them with the next new episode. Today, the company has rolled it out for iOS users.

The feature is enabled by default, but can be turned off in your App Settings. Don’t worry about this impacting your data caps, Smart Downloads only will work on Wi-Fi.

This is ideal for mobile users who watch a lot of Netflix content as they travel, either on a commute or a long flight. This way, when you’re without data, you don’t have to worry about not having the next episode waiting for you.

As part of Netflix’s Standard plan ($13), subscribers get access to offline access on two devices. If you upgrade to their Premium plan, you can store content on up to four devices ($16).
