SCOOP: Hulu Live TV Adds Sinclair NBC Locals, Tops 750 Major Live Affiliates

Over the past few days, Hulu Live TV subscribers started noticing new local NBC affiliates appearing in their guide. We’ve now confirmed with Hulu that the service has added 16 new NBC affiliates in markets like Las Vegas, Reno, Mobile, and San Antonio — from Sinclair Broadcast Group. Hulu Live TV now has more than 750 local NBC, CBS, FOX, and ABC affiliates — and over 825 including The CW, MyNetworkTV and Telemundo.

How The Streamable Measures Local Affiliates

We measure local affiliates by individual local channel, not by market. For instance, if WNBC is in Hartford and New York, it would count as single local affiliate.

You can see all locals available in each of the 210 markets or by using our Local Channel Finder Tool.

In most markets that don’t receive their live local CBS & NBC affiliate, they’ve added live national feeds. While you’ll get primetime programming on those channels, local daytime programming and news will be missing.

The company has the second most major network locals, but has been catching up to YouTube TV — who are less than 50 locals ahead of the service. Hulu Live TV has about 50 more local affiliates than PlayStation Vue, but almost double the major locals than Fubo and AT&T TV NOW.
