Speculation: Could YouTube TV Lift DVR Restrictions?

Earlier this year, YouTube TV implemented restrictions on their DVR that forced users to watch ads on shows that were recorded, but were also available on demand.

Speculation was abound on Twitter this weekend that the service is working to lift those restrictions. In response to complaints on Twitter to the restrictions, Director of Product Management at YouTube TV, Christian Oestlien shared:

So while no timeline is in place for the fix, YouTube TV has heard the complaints. The question is will they be able to change this without raising prices or making other sacrifices to the service.
