What’s Coming to IMDb TV in July 2020, Including 7 ‘Star Trek’ Movies, ‘Blue Jasmine’ and ‘Taxi Driver’

IMDb TV has eclectic offerings next month, including a bonanza for Trekkies — seven “Star Trek” movies, from “Star Trek: The Motion Picture” to “Star Trek: First Contact.”

Comedy fans will appreciate the Coen brothers’ screwball homage “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” starring George Clooney, as well as Jackie Chan’s “Shanghai Noon,” which combines a traditional Western with a kung fu action film.

Woody Allen weighs in with “Blue Jasmine,” starring Cate Blanchett as the disgraced, desperate wife of a Bernie Madoff-type financier (Alec Baldwin). The nuanced “Jasmine” also weaves in aspects of Blanche DuBois in “A Streetcar Named Desire.”

For mystery lovers, the 2009 film “Sherlock Holmes” stars Robert Downey Jr. as the great detective of Baker Street, with an inventive, steam-punk production design. And for film buffs, there is Martin Scorsese’s psychological thriller “Taxi Driver,” starring Robert De Niro and a young Jodie Foster. It holds up as a searing portrait of 1970s New York and the disenfranchised loners and victims of its mean streets.

IMDb TV is available at its site, as an app on Fire TV and a free Channel within Amazon Prime Video.
