AMC strikes deal to air TNA’s ‘Thursday Night iMPACT!’

The channel announced on Tuesday that it would air the show weekly, and would also stream it on AMC+.

TNA iMPACT will air on AMC and stream on AMC+ starting in 2026.

Thursday nights are about to get a lot more action-packed on AMC. The channel is teaming up with TNA Wrestling to bring a new kind of drama to the prestige network. AMC will host episodes of TNA’s flagship show “Thursday Night iMPACT!” weekly starting in 2026, kicking off a multi-year partnership between the two sides.

Key Details:

  • Ready to rumble: AMC has picked up the rights to TNA’s “Thursday Night iMPACT!.”
  • Viewership doubling?: AMC is available in approximately twice as many homes as TNA’s old broadcast partner.
  • Streaming too: AMC will offer the weekly telecast of “Thursday Night iMPACT!” on AMC+ as well.

AMC will air “Thursday Night iMPACT!” from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET every Thursday night, starting on Jan. 15. The first “Thursday Night iMPACT!” shown on AMC will be presented live from the Curtis Culwell Center in the Dallas-Forth Worth Metroplex.

“We are super excited to bring the in-ring excitement, energy and drama of TNA Wrestling to AMC,” TNA Wrestling president Carlos Silva said. “TNA Wrestling heads into 2026 the hottest it has ever been – with intense rivalries and a fan base that loves the TNA stars. We cannot wait to expand the TNA audience with our new partner, AMC Networks, which has such a long and storied history of serving passionate and engaged fans across so many shows and franchises, through this new media rights deal.”

AMC’s interest in acquiring TNA rights was first reported in November, and its pursuit clearly bore fruit. The deal has the potential to double TNA’s audience; previously, the wrestling promotion aired episodes of “iMPACT!” on AXS TV, which is available in around 30 million homes in the United States in 2023. AMC was available in twice that amount of households at the time, and that presents a major opportunity for TNA.

Streaming audiences won’t be left out in the cold in the new deal, either. The weekly telecast of “Thursday Night iMPACT!” will also be available on AMC+, so viewers will be able to choose how they want to watch each week. AMC+ plans start at just $7 per month.

“TNA’s impressive growth and success is driven by the stories, characters and non-stop action fans love,” AMC executive Dan McDermott said. “We put fans at the center of everything we do, and TNA has built its brand and its programming around that same dedication and focus. What a great opportunity to come together and make ‘Thursday Night iMPACT!’ a dynamic and entertaining weekly event on AMC and AMC+ starting next month.”
