The five-episode microdrama “When the Blackout Comes” centers on Julian Parker, a man who can feel disaster coming. He insists a massive hurricane is about to take out the power grid in his area, but no one can be bothered to listen. Despite their derision, Julian prepares for the worst, haunted by a past failure to act ahead of disaster.

The series is a perfect chance for Anker to not only get in on the content creation game, but also a way for the company to show off its reliable backup power devices. At its heart, the show is a story about grief, second chances, and being prepared.

“For years, backup power has been sold through specifications. But wattage doesn’t connect. Storytelling does,” Anker SOLIX said. “‘When the Blackout Comes’ is our first step in meeting consumers where they are, with stories that make preparedness feel tangible.”

The microdrama series is now available to stream on multiple platforms. Viewers will find it on ReelShort, YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook channels. It’s free to stream, and all episodes of the microdrama have been released. Anker SOLIX makes some of our favorite backup power devices, and you can check out its new microdrama now!
