What audio accessibility options are available on AMC+?

AMC+ offers a big range of content, but does it also come with a diversity of audio language dubs?

AMC+ has disappointingly few audio accessibility options.

AMC+ has content from across the whole range of AMC’s cable networks and streamers. It’s got shows and movies from AMC, IFC Films Unlimited, Shudder, Sundance Now, and more, and of course plenty of original titles to tide viewers over when they need them.

But with all that content available, does AMC+ offer as large a variety of audio dubs for viewers to listen to titles in languages other than English? I checked that out, and you can read about my results here.

Does AMC+ offer audio dubs in non-English languages?

No, somewhat surprisingly, it doesn’t. I checked out 10 different TV shows and movies on the service, and whether they were streaming originals or not, none of them came with any audio languages other than English. Most paid streaming services offer at least some audio dubs in non-English languages, so it was a bit of an eyebrow-raiser to see that AMC+ does not.

Does AMC+ come with any non-English content?

Yes, there is a limited selection of non-English content found on AMC+. Movies such as “La Llorona” are presented in their original language, but you’ll have to browse AMC+’s library by title to find specific shows and movies in languages besides English. These titles come with English subtitles.

Will AMC+ add non-English dubs in the future?

To me, that answer depends on whether or not AMC+ expands to more countries around the world. Right now, the streamer’s content isn’t as global as the libraries of other streaming services, and thus doesn’t provide as many options to viewers with an international background.

If AMC+ continues to expand to new territories around the world, it may decide to spend the money needed to give viewers more dubbing options. But considering the amount of financial headwind AMC currently faces as a company, I’d be surprised to see a major financial commitment made to adding more non-English dubs

AMC+ is a premium subscription streaming bundle owned by AMC Networks. It offers curated access to award-winning originals, indie films, and prestige television. Launched in June 2020, the service combines content from AMC with flagship brands such as BBC America, IFC, Sundance TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, and IFC Films Unlimited, delivering a rich library of exclusive programming and early episode access.

…

AMC+ features exclusive original series like “Gangs of London,” “Ragdoll,” “Firebite,” “Anne Boleyn,” and “Kin,” along with critically acclaimed films and simulcasted favorites such as those from The Walking Dead universe. The service supports up to five simultaneous streams and includes access to six live channels — including AMC, BBC America, and The Walking Dead Channel — alongside on-demand content. It also allows for offline downloads for ad-free subscribers.

The service is available directly via amcplus.com or the AMC+ app on platforms such as Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, iOS, Android, and smart TVs. It’s also accessible through Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video Channels, The Roku Channel, Sling TV, Dish, and YouTube TV. However, free trial eligibility and app access may vary depending on the provider. Viewers can sign up for a 7-day free trial when subscribing directly through AMC+ or its app, though eligibility may vary depending on the platform.

With its depth of high-quality content, flexible pricing, and seamless streaming capabilities, AMC+ remains a top-tier choice for horror fans, prestige dramas, indie films, and compelling originals.
