Can you watch shows and movies in other languages on Tubi?
Can you watch shows and movies in other languages on Tubi?
Tubi doesn’t offer a traditional audio dub for its titles, but it does have some non-English selections available.
Audiences are gaga for Tubi. The free, ad-supported streaming service accounted for 2.2% of all TV watched in June 2025, and the sky is the limit for a service with a large library full of popular titles that viewers get to watch at a very affordable cost of $0 per month.
As a free streamer, however, it’s expected that Tubi will come with fewer features than a paid streamer. Is that really the case when it comes to the number of languages you can watch Tubi titles in? We took a look at that question, and you can find the results of our exploration here.
What are the audio accessibility options on Tubi?
How to switch audio dub languages on Tubi
On many streaming services, viewers can start playback on a title, then use menus embedded within the playback controls to change the audio dub language on that show or movie to Spanish, French, or other choices.
That option isn’t available on Tubi; the language the movie comes in is the language you’ll have to watch it in on this service. However, Tubi does carry a selection of foreign-language films. To find these, search for the language you want to watch the title in using Tubi’s search bar, and you’ll see the inventory of titles the streamer has available in that language.
What languages are available on Tubi?
In full disclosure, I did not spend an inordinate amount of time searching through Tubi to see which of the over 7,000 existing languages the streamer offers titles in. However, I did find that Tubi has shows and movies available in Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. There are likely more foreign-language options to be had, so browse through Tubi’s library if you don’t see the language you prefer to watch listed.
Will Tubi add more language dubs in the future?
There are no current plans to add more language dubs to Tubi that the streamer has announced publicly, but viewers shouldn’t rule anything out. Tubi is continuing to add more and more viewership and has frequently pledged to serve a diverse audience. As more viewers tune into the service, I wouldn’t be shocked to see it add more features like alternate audio dubs for at least some of its English-language titles.
Tubi
Tubi is a free video streaming service that includes on-demand access to 200,000+ movies and TV episodes - more than any other streaming service. Its ad breaks are shorter and less frequent than most free services. Fox executives have called their service “TV on steroids.”
