Here are the best top titles coming to the major streamers for November, 2025.

I don’t know about you, but every time I look at the calendar, I can’t believe it’s November already. The holidays are sneaking up fast, and the streaming world clearly got the memo. This month’s lineup is stacked, with every major platform giving us something worth parking on the couch for. Disney+ dives deep into the world of filmmaking with a behind-the-scenes look at James Cameron’s “Avatar” universe. HBO Max serves up a sharp, funny new series about love and ambition in Los Angeles. Netflix goes full gothic with Guillermo del Toro’s “Frankenstein.” And that’s just the start. Whether you’re into dark thrillers, emotional comebacks, or big, glossy action movies, there’s something new to get hooked on. Here’s the best thing to stream on every major platform this November.

Top title on each streamer for the month of November 2025:

‘Fire and Water: Making The Avatar Films’ | Documentary | Disney+

As someone obsessed with the craft of filmmaking, this is the one I’m super excited about. “Fire and Water: Making The Avatar Films” drops Friday, Nov. 7 on Disney+, and it looks like the ultimate behind-the-scenes look at how James Cameron and his team actually pull off the impossible. The two-part doc goes deep into the making of “Avatar: The Way of Water” and gives an early peek at “Avatar: Fire and Ash.” It’s got concept art, exclusive footage, and interviews that show just how massive this creative machine really is. I’m fascinated by stories about process, and this one’s about building entire worlds from scratch… literally frame by frame.

Fire and Water: Making the Avatar Films

November 7, 2025

This two-part documentary provides a fascinating glimpse into the making of the Oscar-winning box office phenomenon “Avatar: The Way of Water” and features exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, concept art, and interviews with cast and filmmakers.

‘I Love LA’ | Series | HBO Max

As someone who actually lives in Los Angeles, and really does love it, you can’t blame me for being excited about this one. “I Love LA” premieres Sunday, Nov. 2 at 10:30 p.m. ET on HBO Max, and it looks like the kind of smart, chaotic, and painfully funny show that nails what it’s like to chase dreams in this city. Rachel Sennott, who created and stars in the series, plays Maia, a woman trying to balance ambition, friendship, and romance in a city that never stops performing. Odessa A’zion, Josh Hutcherson, Jordan Firstman, and True Whitaker round out the cast, and the trailer’s already packed with some great dialogue and that uniquely LA mix of sunshine and existential dread. Living here, I recognize every one of those awkward brunches, traffic breakdowns, and self-reinvention phases. I can’t wait to watch.

I Love LA

November 2, 2025

A codependent friend group navigates life and love in Los Angeles. With aspirations of becoming a talent manager, Maia is stalled out as an assistant while living with her boyfriend…until her longtime best friend and frenzied influencer Tallulah returns.

‘The Assassin’ | Series | AMC+

I’ve always had a soft spot for spy and assassin stories, so “The Assassin” instantly caught my eye. The series premieres Thursday, Nov. 20 on AMC+ with a two-episode drop, and it looks like the kind of sleek, character-driven thriller I love. Keeley Hawes stars as a retired hitwoman living quietly on a Greek island until her estranged son, played by Freddie Highmore, shows up with questions that unravel her entire past. What starts as a family reunion quickly turns into a chase across Europe, filled with secrets, betrayal, and the kind of tension that never lets up. If it delivers on its promise of style, emotion, and danger, this could be AMC+’s next must-watch thriller.

The Assassin

July 25, 2025

Secluded on a remote Greek island, retired assassin Julie has a somewhat thorny reunion with her estranged son, Edward, visiting from England. Armed with questions around new information on his paternity, Edward battles to find the right time to speak to his frustratingly distant mother. But, when the moment finally presents itself, things take a deadly turn as Julie’s dangerous past catches up with her and they are forced to flee the island and go on the run together.

‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ | Movie | Peacock

I caught “Jurassic World Rebirth” in theaters, and honestly, it was simply awesome. The scale, the tension, the dinosaurs… it all reminded me why this franchise still hits after three decades. The movie roars onto Peacock on Oct. 30, kicking off a full “Jurassic World” collection that includes every film plus bonus features like deleted scenes and an alternate opening. What makes “Rebirth” stand out is how it balances the thrill of the original “Jurassic Park” with a new sense of wonder and danger. The visual effects are wild, but it’s the emotional core that got me. Watching it again at home is going to be just as exciting as that first big-screen moment when everything went off the rails in the best way possible.

Jurassic World Rebirth

June 23, 2025

Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, covert operations expert Zora Bennett is contracted to lead a skilled team on a top-secret mission to secure genetic material from the world’s three most massive dinosaurs. When Zora’s operation intersects with a civilian family whose boating expedition was capsized, they all find themselves stranded on an island where they come face-to-face with a sinister, shocking discovery that’s been hidden from the world for decades.

‘The Family Plan 2’ | Movie | Apple TV

I love a good action comedy, and while Prime Video has been owning that lane lately, it’s exciting to see Apple TV jumping back in with “The Family Plan 2,” which premieres Friday, Nov. 21. The original was just a really fun movie, where watching Mark Wahlberg as a suburban dad-slash-secret assassin trying to keep his family safe gave me exactly the mix of chaos and heart I wanted. Now the sequel takes the Morgans on a European vacation that goes off the rails, with Kit Harington joining the cast for some holiday-season mayhem. Between the laughs, the car chases, and the family banter, this looks like pure comfort viewing for anyone who misses the big, breezy action comedies we used to get in theaters. I’m hopeful that just like Netflix is realizing right now, Apple TV will see the upside in dropping these fun movies in theaters.

The Family Plan 2

November 11, 2025

Now that Dan’s assassin days are behind him, all he wants for Christmas is quality time with his kids. But when he learns his daughter has her own plans, he books a family trip to London—putting them all in the crosshairs of an unexpected enemy.

‘Sovereign’ | Movie | Hulu

I love a grounded thriller, so I’m pumped for “Sovereign” to drop on Friday, Nov. 7 on Hulu. The movie is inspired by true events that explore the dangerous world of so-called “sovereign citizens.” Nick Offerman plays Jerry, a father raising his son (Jacob Tremblay) to distrust every form of authority, until a tense encounter with a small-town police chief, played by Dennis Quaid, turns their paranoia into something tragic. It’s a story about freedom, fear, and the fine line between conviction and chaos. If it delivers the emotional punch it promises, this could easily be one of Hulu’s most haunting movies of the year.

Sovereign

July 11, 2025

Struggling single father Jerry indoctrinates his son Joe into the sovereign citizen movement, teaching him that laws are mere illusions and freedom is something you take. But, as Jerry’s ideology consumes them, they are set on a collision course with a police chief who has spent his life upholding the rules that Jerry has spent his tearing down.

‘Frankenstein’ | Movie | Netflix

Guillermo del Toro making “Frankenstein” feels like destiny fulfilled. He’s been obsessed with Mary Shelley’s story for decades, and now we’re getting his version: a gothic, emotional, and beautifully tragic take on creation and consequence. Oscar Isaac plays Victor Frankenstein, the scientist who pushes too far, while Jacob Elordi steps into the role of the Creature, bringing equal parts menace and heartbreak. Mia Goth rounds out the cast, and if del Toro’s track record with films like “The Shape of Water” and “Pan’s Labyrinth” is anything to go by, this will be haunting, humane, and visually jaw-dropping. It premieres Friday, Nov. 7, on Netflix, and I genuinely can’t wait.

Frankenstein

October 17, 2025

Dr. Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist, brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation.

‘The Cut’ | Movie | Paramount Plus

I’m all in for a dark, psychological sports drama, and “The Cut” looks like it’s going to hit hard. Orlando Bloom plays a former boxing champ trying to fight his way back to glory after a brutal fall from grace, but the line between discipline and obsession starts to blur fast. It’s gritty, emotional, and the trailer already hints at something much deeper than a comeback story… it’s a descent into the mind of a man who can’t stop swinging, even when the real battle is with himself. It premieres Friday, Nov. 1, on Paramount Plus, and I’m ready to watch Bloom deliver a knockout performance (get it?).

The Cut

September 4, 2025

A retired boxer intends to return to the ring for one last shot at the title, but first he must make the weight. Holed up in a room in Las Vegas with an unscrupulous trainer, he embarks on an intensive and illegal weight-cutting program.

‘Playdate’ | Movie | Prime Video

I’ve said it before, but Prime Video is quickly becoming the place for action comedy movies, and “Playdate” is just another perfect example. Kevin James and Alan Ritchson teaming up for a suburban playdate that turns into a full-blown mercenary showdown? That’s exactly my kind of chaos. It drops Wednesday, Nov. 12 on Prime Video, and from the trailer alone it looks like equal parts “Die Hard” and “Daddy Day Care,” which is somehow the best combination ever. I love that Prime Video keeps giving us wild, high-concept action comedies and if they keep making them, I’ll keep watching them.

Playdate

November 4, 2025

When out-of-work accountant Brian joins stay-at-home dad Jeff for a playdate with their sons, he expects a laid-back afternoon. Instead, they’re chased by mercenaries, and Brian—totally unprepared—must survive one absurd obstacle after another.
