‘Fugget About It’ turns a mob-family setup into something way weirder.
I grew up in Alberta, which means Canadian prairie jokes hit a little differently. If you’re from that part of Canada, you know the vibe: prairie towns, brutal winters, hockey rinks, long summer nights, and not much to do but have a campfire and relax. That’s why “Fugget About It” jumped out to me on Tubi. The animated comedy follows a New York mob family that gets dumped into witness protection in Regina, Saskatchewan — a place they really do not belong. Jimmy Falcone can change countries, change names, and try to go straight, but he can’t stop thinking like a gangster. If you missed it the first time around, here’s why “Fugget About It” is the best under-the-radar comedy on Tubi right now.

Why ‘Fugget About It’ is the most underrated comedy series on Tubi
What makes “Fugget About It” so funny is that the premise is stupid in exactly the right way. Jimmy Falcone is a New York mobster who kills his boss instead of killing his loudmouth Uncle Cheech, cuts a deal with the Feds, and gets dumped into witness protection with his family in Regina, Saskatchewan. Jimmy still thinks like a gangster, but now he’s surrounded by Canadians, cold weather, boring normal life, government rules, prairie weirdness, and people who don’t automatically fear him just because he talks tough. Regina isn’t just a random setting, either. Saskatchewan life, Mountie energy, prairie towns, polite people, small-city boredom, all of it becomes this perfect wall for Jimmy to keep crashing into. He keeps trying to turn regular life into a racket, and regular life keeps refusing to play along.
Now, the title is weird, and it probably does it no favors. It’s easy to underestimate, and because it’s spelled “Fugget About It,” it’s also weirdly easy to miss if you’re searching for it like a normal human. From a distance, it’s also easy to write it off as a “Family Guy” knockoff with mobsters. I get why someone would assume that after 10 seconds. There’s crude humor, a loud family, a psychotic kid, and a whole lot of jokes that go low. But once you actually watch it, the show has its own rhythm. It’s less about random shock and more about behavior. These people are ridiculous, but they also feel like a family.
That’s the part that surprised me most. “Fugget About It” is way better at character than it has any right to be. Jimmy is proud, dumb, dangerous, and weirdly lovable. Cookie knows exactly who she married and has been annoyed about it for years. Cheech is a walking disaster. Theresa, Petey, and Gina all react to this new Canadian life in different ways, and Special Agent Strait McCool might be the most Canadian lawman ever invented. The show is filthy, sure. But underneath all the yelling and bad decisions, there’s a real family dynamic holding the thing together.
And that’s why Tubi is such a good place for it now. It’s a free, low-risk watch. The show ran for three seasons and 46 episodes, built up a cult following, picked up some Canadian awards attention, and then kind of drifted around streaming libraries as these kinds of deep cut shows tend to do. That’s under-the-radar TV at its best. Not perfect or polished to death. Just funny, specific, rude, oddly warm, and much smarter than the title makes it sound.
Fugget About It
When New York mafia caporegime Jimmy Falcone kills his mob boss, he and his family enter the Witness Protection Program and move to the small, snowy town of Regina, Saskatchewan.
What is ‘Fugget About It’ about?
“Fugget About It” follows Jimmy Falcone, a former New York mob capo who blows up his old life after he refuses to kill his Uncle Cheech. Instead, Jimmy kills his boss, makes a deal with the Feds, and gets relocated with his wife, kids, and uncle to Regina, Saskatchewan, under witness protection. The problem is that Jimmy can change his address, but he can’t really change his instincts. He still sees every problem like a mob problem, whether he’s dealing with school bullies, family drama, local weirdos, or some boring Canadian situation that absolutely does not need organized crime energy. The show is about a gangster family trying to pass as normal while Canada slowly breaks their brains.
Other underappreciated comedy TV shows on Tubi
If you’re into “Fugget About It” and want more underrated comedies on Tubi, there are a few other shows worth adding to your queue. “Everybody Hates Chris” is still one of the most rewatchable sitcoms of the 2000s, with Chris Rock turning childhood humiliation, family pressure, school misery, and everyday money stress into something fast, sharp, and weirdly comforting. “The IT Crowd” is a British workplace comedy about two socially broken tech guys and the one normal-ish woman stuck managing them, and the whole thing is built for anyone who loves awkward office nonsense. And “ALF” is pure sitcom chaos about a furry alien hiding out with a suburban family, which sounds insane because it is insane. Different kinds of comedy, same basic deal: shows that are easy to skip past until you remember free streaming libraries are where some of the strangest stuff gets a second life.
