BET and Pluto TV are expanding their deal to bring more channels to the service.

The fact that BET and Pluto TV have a close relationship should come as no surprise; after all, the two are owned by the same parent company. The two Paramount Skydance divisions are expanding their relationship even further; however, on Tuesday, BET Media Group and Pluto TV announced that a lineup of new BET channels were rolling out on the free streaming service.

Key Details:

  • Leveling up: The number of BET channels on Pluto TV is rising to seven.
  • New arrivals: The new BET Comedy Movies channel is now available, and a Christmas Movies channel is coming in November.
  • Already dedicated audience: The two BET channels that debuted on Pluto in 2024 have surpassed 3 billion streaming hours.

The total number of channels available on Pluto TV from BET will rise to eight as of November 2025. Seven of these channels are available now, and they include some of the best content in the BET library.

BET channels available on Pluto TV now include:

  • BET Comedy Movies (New channel): A channel featuring some of Black culture’s funniest characters, with titles like “Men in Black,” “Scary Movie,” and many more.
  • BET Cinema: Includes blockbuster movies and some of the most iconic performances in recent cinematic history, with titles like “The Pursuit of Happyness” and many more.
  • BET Visionaries: This channel showcases the work of talented writers, directors, and creative artists of color. Watch top Hollywood hits and the latest independent features from Black creators.
  • BET Throwbacks: Looking for a blast from the past? Check out these old-school titles like “Everybody Hates Chris” and “Malcolm & Eddie” on this channel.
  • BET Classics: Check out classic cinema and TV sitcoms from Black entertainers like “The Jeffersons,” “Webster,” and a ton of others.
  • BET Christmas Movies (Coming in November): What are the holidays without some incredible holiday movies? Check out heartwarming holiday favorites 24/7 with this new channel on Pluto.

“We are proud to continue growing BET’s FAST portfolio and meet our audiences where they are,” BET Media Group executive Louis Carr said. “This expansion not only amplifies the stories that reflect and celebrate Black culture, but it also gives our advertising partners new ways to align with premium content in a free and easily accessible format.”

Since launching on Pluto TV in June 2024, the Tyler Perry Comedy and Tyler Perry Drama channels have amassed 3 billion viewing hours on the streamer. Now, they’re being joined by a great collection of new channels to bring even more entertainment featuring Black superstars and created by producers and directors of color.

Pluto TV is a free streaming service backed by Paramount that offers a traditional cable-like channel surfing experience. The service offers hundreds of free round-the-clock channels, including classics like “Star Trek,” “The Twilight Zone,” and “The Price is Right.”

Rather than attempting to carry expensive local broadcast affiliates or high-profile live sports leagues, the lineup leans heavily into curated thematic programming. You will find dedicated channels cycling non-stop episodes of many classic TV shows, alongside niche feeds for anime, true crime, classic sitcoms, and live headline news loops from outlets like CBS News. Alongside the live grid, there is also a hefty on-demand vault filled with older Hollywood catalog films, cult classics, and complete archived series.

Because Pluto TV mirrors linear broadcast television, you cannot pause or fast-forward through commercial breaks, nor is there a cloud DVR feature to record airings for later viewing. That said, it’s a great alternative for those looking for a wide range of channels without subscription fees.
