Bluey was the most-streamed show in the first half of 2025, according to Nielsen.

The results are in! Nielsen has released its rankings of the most-streamed TV shows of the first half of 2025, and there are some fairly familiar names on the list, especially if you have young children taking up much of the viewing time in your home. Acquired programming was tops once again in the first six months of the year, with only one streaming original cracking the top 10 list. See which series made the cut below!

Key Details:

  • Not feeling the blues: ‘Bluey’ was the most-streamed series on the list.
  • Squidtastic: ‘Squid Game’ was the only streaming-first program in the top 10.
  • Spread the love: Six streaming services had shows in the top 10 list.

The crown for most-streamed show of the first half of 2025 goes to the beloved kids series “Bluey,” which was watched for 25.1 billion minutes between January and June. “Bluey” has spent plenty of time in the top spot, having also nabbed the title of most-streamed show of 2024.

As mentioned, the theme of the list was acquired titles, with just one streaming-first program making the cut in the top 10. That honor belongs to Netflix’s “Squid Game,” which holds the No. 9 spot on the list despite releasing its second season in the final days of December and its third on June 27. That meant the show missed out on some prime viewing days in its count, but was watched for over 15 billion minutes in 2025 nonetheless.

Aside from acquired titles dominating the list, there was plenty of variety in the top 10. Nielsen’s rankings include shows from a good mix of services, including Disney+, Hulu, Netflix, Paramount+, HBO Max, and Peacock, while there are adult and kid-focused animated series, procedural dramas, and sitcoms. Prime Video’s title “Reacher” was just outside the top 10, coming in at No. 11 with 13.3 billion minutes viewed.
