Does Tubi allow you to create multiple profiles?
Tubi works a little differently than paid streaming services with its profile function.
There are definitely some great things to love about Tubi. The streamer is free, and although it comes with ads, it has a huge library of TV shows and movies for viewers to watch. You can stream Tubi on a big selection of devices, and the service even streamed the Super Bowl in 2025 completely free.
As a free streaming service, Tubi does things pretty differently from paid streamers. Many paid streamers allow viewers to set up multiple profiles, but what about Tubi? I’ll give you more details on how the streamer does profiles below, so you’re ready to go when you want to watch the service.
Everything you need to know about profiles on Tubi
Does Tubi offer the ability to create multiple profiles?
No, that’s one way Tubi differs from premium streaming services like Netflix; it doesn’t offer the ability to create multiple user profiles on the same account. Customers who sign up for Tubi can still enjoy benefits like tracking their watching history, but there is no way to establish more than one profile on a Tubi account.
Why doesn’t Tubi come with profiles?
The real reason there are no profiles on Tubi is that, quite simply, there’s no reason to have profiles on Tubi. The streaming service is free, and all you need to sign up is an email address and a password — no credit card will ever be asked for in any way.
That means that anyone who wants to can sign up for their own Tubi account. You can have as many accounts as you want in your household, or share your password with as many viewers as you like — but if you do that, their viewing history will show up on your Tubi account as well. There’s no reason for them not to use their own account and personalize their settings however they choose.
Tubi lets you set subtitles, establish parental controls, and save titles to a My List playlist when you sign up for a free account, offering even more incentive to do so. The streamer may not include all the features of a paid streaming platform, but it does come to include many of the adjustable settings that premium streamers offer within profiles. All you have to do to enjoy them is to create your own Tubi account.
Tubi
Tubi is a free video streaming service that includes on-demand access to 200,000+ movies and TV episodes - more than any other streaming service. Its ad breaks are shorter and less frequent than most free services. Fox executives have called their service “TV on steroids.”
