DEAL ALERT: 40% Off BBC Maestro - Save $48 and Learn Almost Anything from Celebrity Experts
Are you living up to those New Year’s resolutions so far? Need a little help gaining momentum? BBC Maestro is here to help with a phenomenal deal. Sign up by January 31 and you can take 40% off any purchase. The most popular plan is their annual subscription, now $72 instead of $120. That’s just $6/month to learn a world of new skills. Use the code JANUARY2024 to get the deal.
What is BBC Maestro?
BBC Maestro is very similar to the well-known MasterClass series. Celebrity instructors will walk you through everything you need to know to get started on a new skill set. Gain new skills in the kitchen, learn how to create stories, and discover how to start a business!
Each course runs between 2-4 hours, and the lessons are broken into short videos.
While you have the option to pay for the annual plan, you could also choose to own each lesson forever. Through January, that price is $53.40 per course (down from $89).
One frustration is that the lessons are locked to a smartphone, tablet, or device with a web browser. You can cast from your phone to your TV, but that’s an inconvenience.
What Can You Learn With BBC Maestro?
The courses vary greatly. We really enjoyed learning bread-making with Richard Bertinet. The writing courses are particularly well developed, with beloved authors like Julia Donaldson and Lee Child breaking down everything from research to the development of villains and how to navigate the landscape after your book is released.
New courses are added frequently, but this is the current lineup.

Is BBC Maestro Better than MasterClass?
For this style of course, MasterClass is still our preference. There are far more courses over a wider variety of topics. That said, BBC Maestro deserves praise for its stellar lineup of instructors. If you are a fan of any of these stars, it’s worth the subscription to see what they have to say.
Most of the topics here have a similar course on MasterClass. But the New Year’s deal on MasterClass has expired, so the $6/month price of BBC Maestro makes it a more compelling value today.
