When does ‘Marvel Zombies’ come out on Disney+?
“Marvel Zombies” will arrive on Disney+ on Sept. 24, 2025. All four episodes of the miniseries will premiere at the same time on that date.
What is ‘Marvel Zombies’ about?
“Marvel Zombies” is an animated series set in the same universe as the “What If…?” episode that originally explored the concept. That episode took viewers to a world where a virus had turned much of the world’s population — including superpowered individuals — into zombies.
Continuing that story, “Marvel Zombies” will see a group of survivors embark on a journey across the shattered world in order to find a way to end the outbreak once and for all. But which — if any of them — will survive the trip?
In addition to the “What If…?” episode, this four-episode miniseries of “Marvel Zombies” is based on the comic series of the same name, created by Bryan Andrews and Zeb Wells.
Who stars in ‘Marvel Zombies’?
“Marvel Zombies” will see a large number of MCU stars return to roles they originated in live-action projects. Check out the cast list here:
- Awkwafina as Katy, Shang-Chi’s best friend
- David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian
- Simu Liu as Xu Shang-Chi
- Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch
- Randall Park as Jimmy Woo
- Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova
- Paul Rudd as Scott Lang
- Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent
- Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop
- Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie
- Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams/Ironheart
- Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel
- Todd Williams as Eric Brooks/Blade Knight
Will there be a second season of ‘Marvel Zombies’?
“Marvel Zombies” is intended to be a miniseries, so a second season in the traditional sense seems unlikely. However, if the show is a huge success, there is at least a chance the story will be brought back in future projects.

Can you watch ‘Marvel Zombies’ for free?
“Marvel Zombies” will be a Disney+ exclusive, and Disney+ does not offer a free trial of any kind. Unfortunately, that means there will be no way to stream “Marvel Zombies” legally for free.
You can add a Disney+ subscription starting at $10 per month, or $11 per month if you want to bundle Hulu with your plan. There are ad-free and ad-supported subscription options available, and Disney+ can also be combined with ESPN for sports fans.
