“The Devil Wears Prada 2” world premiere red carpet will stream on Disney+ and Hulu on Monday, April 20. Coverage begins at 5:30 p.m. ET, and a full on-demand replay will be available once the live event has concluded. The red carpet livestream will allow fans to watch as celebrities arrive for the premiere, check out the high-fashion that they will undoubtedly be wearing, catch interviews with cast members, and enjoy the “special surprises” that have been promised as part of the festivities. From the sound of things, Disney+ is working to ensure that its stream of the red carpet is just as special as actually being there.
All of the film’s principal cast and filmmakers are scheduled to be in attendance, including Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, director David Frankel, and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna.
“The Devil Wears Prada 2” will see Miranda Priestly nearing the end of her career, but unwilling to cede an inch of ground to former assistant-turned-rival executive Emily Charlton. As print media crumbles around them, the two feud over the last scraps of advertising revenue their respective publications can soak up.
The sequel arrives in theaters on Friday, May 1. Fans who want to catch up with the characters can find the original film streaming on Disney+ and Hulu now.
