The new stream of “The Simpsons” will pull episodes from all 35 seasons of the show. It will run 24 hours per day and will be refreshed with a new curation of episodes every month. The channel will allow fans to lean back and enjoy the viewing experience instead of having to choose a new episode for themselves, almost exactly like a free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel, except “The Simpsons” Stream won’t have any ads.
“From day one, the fans have asked for a Stream of ‘The Simpsons’, and we’re happy to oblige,” Disney+ SVP Gabe Lewis said. “Streams on Disney+ have been a fantastic go-to experience for subscribers looking to sit back and relax with their favorite shows and movies, and we look forward to evolving the user experience and expanding the offering with more Streams, to more subscribers, later this year.”
Disney+ first rolled out these live channels on its platform in September 2024. In addition to “The Simpsons,” Disney+ offers the Hits & Heroes, Throwbacks, and Real Life Streams for ad-free subscribers. Offerings like the ABC News and Disney+ Playtime Streams are available to all customers of the service.
The Streamable posited that a “Simpsons” streaming channel is something the company should consider as far back as 2022, and it’s easy to see why Disney+ eventually followed that advice in some form. “The Simpsons” is the longest-running animated TV show in American history, and while many say the quality of the show isn’t the same as it once was, it keeps getting renewed because fans keep watching.
If you’re an ad-free Disney+ subscriber, you can check out the new Stream of “The Simpsons” now. More Streams are likely to come to the streamer in the future, so keep an eye out!
