Netflix’s Releases “Heartstopper” Season 3 First Look
The beloved coming-of-age series “Heartstopper” is back for its highly anticipated Season 3 this fall, and Netflix has released the season’s first images.
The rom-com based on the “Heartstopper” book series by Alice Oseman stars Kit Connor and Joe Locke as Charlie and Nick, with Season 3 promising big changes in the pair’s relationship. As the summer holiday ends and the school year begins, with all the social events, parties, and university planning that comes with it, “everyone must learn to lean on those they love when life doesn’t go to plan.”
“Heartstopper” also stars William Gao, Yasmin Finney, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Tobie Donovan, Jenny Walser, Rhea Norwood, and Leila Khan with Jensen Clayden joining the cast in the third season.
The eight-episode third season of “Heartstopper” will premiere on Netflix on Thursday, Oct. 3.
Disney Drops “Agatha All Along” Trailer
It’s Agatha once again!
Disney+ has released the first trailer for its “WandaVision” spinoff series “Agatha All Along,” with Kathryn Hahn reprising her role as Agatha Harkness from the Marvel parent series.
The miniseries, first announced in October 2021, will follow the infamous Harkness, who was first introduced in “WandaVision” as Wanda and Vision’s nosy neighbor before revealing her true identity as a centuries’-old witch, as she “finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth teen helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. Agatha and this mysterious teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down The Road.”

The new series’ cast also stars Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Debra Jo Rupp, and more.
“Agatha All Along” will premiere on Disney+ on Wednesday, Sept. 18 with its first two episodes, followed by a weekly episodic release through Nov. 6.

Trailer Out for Season 12 of “Futurama”
Good news, everybody! A new season of “Futurama” dawns, and Hulu has released the trailer for its upcoming 12th season.
The long-running adult animated series, which rings in 25 years on air this year, returned to air last year with a surprise reboot from the streamer. According to the official season synopsis, this season will see the “occasionally heroic crew embark on mind-bending adventures involving birthday party games to the death, the secrets of Bender’s ancestral robot village, A.I. friends (and enemies), impossibly cute beanbags, and the true 5 million-year-old story behind the consciousness-altering substance known as coffee. And, of course, the next chapter in Fry and Leela’s fateful, time-twisted romance.”

Netflix Releases Trailer for “The Umbrella Academy” Final Season
The End nears at Netflix’s “The Umbrella Academy.” The streamer has released the official trailer for the fourth and final season of the drama series based on the comic book series of the same name written by Gerard Way.
The popular superhero series, which has gained a loyal group of fans over its three seasons, centers on a dysfunctional family of adopted sibling superheroes, the Hargreeves, who reunite to solve the mystery of their father’s death and the threat of an imminent apocalypse. In the final season, after the climactic showdown at the Hotel Oblivion led to a complete reset of their timeline, the Hargreeves are left to fend for themselves as strange forces conspire around them. The Umbrella Academy will need to “come together one last time—and risk upsetting the shaky peace they’ve all endured so much to secure—to finally set things right.”

Apple’s “Time Bandits” Adaptation Gets Trailer
Apple TV+ has debuted the trailer for its upcoming series adaptation of “Time Bandits,” the first-ever TV adaptation of Terry Gilliam’s cult classic fantasy adventure film of the same name.
Created for television by Jemaine Clement, Iain Morris, and Taika Waititi, the series takes viewers on “an unpredictable journey through time and space with a ragtag group of thieves and their newest recruit: an 11-year-old history buff named Kevin. Together they set out on a thrilling quest to save the boy’s parents—and the world”—as they witness the creation of Stonehenge, escape dinosaurs, experience the Harlem Renaissance, and more.

Lisa Kudrow leads the eccentric bunch of bandits opposite Kal-El Tuck, Tadhg Murphy, Roger Jean Nsengiyumva, Rune Temte, Charlyne Yi, Rachel House, Kiera Thompson, James Dryden, Felicity Ward, Francesca Mills, and Imaan Hadchiti, with additional special guest appearances by Waititi and Clement.
The 10-episode first season of “Time Bandits” will debut on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, July 24, with its first two episodes, followed by two new episodes every Wednesday through Aug. 21.
“Abigail” Coming to Peacock This Month
Universal Pictures and Radio Silence’s recent horror-comedy “Abigail” will soon spill new blood at Peacock.
The vampire romp, directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (“Ready or Not,” “Scream”) follows a heist team who are hired by a mysterious fixer to kidnap the daughter of a powerful underworld figure. Tasked with guarding the young ballerina for one night to net a $50 million ransom, the captors soon learn they’re locked inside an isolated mansion with no ordinary little girl.
The cast is led by Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, Will Catlett, Kevin Durand, Angus Cloud, Alisha Weir, and Giancarlo Esposito, among others.

Apple TV+ Renews “The Completely Made-Up Adventures Of Dick Turpin”
Dick rides again! Apple TV+ has ordered a second season of its absurdist comedy “The Completely Made-Up Adventures Of Dick Turpin,” starring Noel Fielding.
“The Mighty Boosh” star and “The Great British Bake Off” co-host stars as a fictional version of the real-life Dick Turpin, the 18th British highwayman “whose success is defined mostly by his charm, showmanship and great hair” and whose petty crimes and wild rides have become the stuff of legend. With his gang of lovable rogues, Turpin evades thief-taker Jonathan Wilde and a secretive criminal organization.

The British comedy series also features Hugh Bonneville, Asim Chaudhry, Tamsin Greig, Mark Heap, Ellie White, Joe Wilkinson, Marc Wootton, Michael Fielding, and others, with guest stars including Greg Davies, Diane Morgan, Guz Khan, Jessica Hynes, and Laura Checkley. While a Season 2 cast has not yet been announced, Apple has already said Season 2 will again feature “a host of great British comedy talent.”
