Get $23 OFF each month for the first 3 months of Hulu Live TV! (Deal ends Nov. 19)
Whether you’re just trying to watch one episode of a new series, catch the latest blockbuster movie, or simply want to try a service that you’ve never subscribed to before, a free trial can be a great way to take a streamer for a test drive. Years ago, all of the top live TV streaming services offered free trials, but unfortunately, they have become a thing of the past for most live streamers.
When ESPN+ debuted in 2018, it offered a seven-day free trial in order to show sports fans what types of content they could expect from the newly launched streamer. However, the streaming platform is no longer directly offering a free trial of any length, and while there is a workaround to check out ESPN+ for free, the other option is to sign up for a monthly or annual subscription starting at $10.99 per month.
Although ESPN+ isn’t directly offering the free trial anymore, that doesn’t mean that you are completely out of luck. Hulu + Live TV is currently offering a three-day free trial of its live TV streaming service which comes automatically includes ESPN+ and Disney+ at no additional cost. This means that if you sign up for the three-day Hulu + Live TV free trial, you also get a three-day trial of ESPN+ as part of the Disney Bundle as well. It’s a bit of a workaround — and you’ll have to remember to cancel before the trial ends so that they don’t renew — but if there’s a game, event, or “30 for 30” documentary that you really need to watch and you don’t want to pay for it, this is the best option.
What Subscription Plan Options Does ESPN+ Offer?
There are a few different ways to get ESPN+. You can subscribe to the service on its own for either $10.99 per month or $109.99 for the year; committing to the annual plan will save you about $20 compared to paying for the service monthly.
In addition, you can opt to include ESPN+ in the Disney Bundle with both Hulu and Disney+. There are two versions of the trio bundle, which allow you to customize your viewing experience based on your streaming needs and preferences.
What Disney Bundles include ESPN+?
- Disney Bundle Trio Basic: Includes Disney+ (with ads), Hulu (with ads), and ESPN+ (with ads) for $14.99 per month.
- Disney Bundle Trio Premium: Includes Disney+ (no ads), Hulu (no ads), and ESPN+ (with ads) for $24.99 per month.
If you’re looking to add live TV to the mix, you can sign up for Hulu + Live TV and get ESPN+ and Disney+ included in your monthly subscription, which starts at $76.99 currently and comes with a 3-day free trial.
How to Sign Up for ESPN+
- Visit the ESPN+ website.
- Click either “Get the Disney Bundle” or “Subscribe to ESPN+ only.”
- Log in with your existing ESPN.com account, or create a new one.
- Enter payment information then click “Buy ESPN+.”
That’s it. Keep in mind that ESPN+ (and any of the bundles it’s included with) will automatically renew at the end of the three-day free trial or at the end of your subscription term. So, if you want to cancel the service at any point, you will need to do that before the next billing date to avoid being billed again.
