Does an ESPN+ Subscription Include a Livestream of SEC Network?

ESPN owns SEC Network, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you can stream it with an ESPN+ subscription.

ESPN+ and SEC Network are owned by the same company, but does ESPN+ offer a livestream of SEC Network?

ESPN is a sprawling company, with a huge amount of assets to its name. Its streaming service ESPN+ and its cable sports channel SEC Network are two of the most important, and since they’re owned by the same company, many may naturally assume that a subscription to ESPN+ for $12 will grant you access to SEC Network and other linear channels from the company. But does it? We’ll answer that question and lay out the best ways to stream SEC Network below!

Everything You Need to Know About Streaming SEC Network and ESPN+

Can You Stream SEC Network on ESPN+?

Unfortunately, just having an ESPN+ subscription will not allow you to watch a livestream of SEC Network or any other linear cable channel owned by ESPN. Viewers can only stream SEC Network via a live TV streaming service that carries the channel in its bundle.

What SEC Content Can You Stream on ESPN+?

ESPN+ does carry a wide range of live SEC sporting events, including select non-conference football games, men’s and women’s basketball games, soccer, and even band performances along with other live events. Documentaries, highlights and analysis of SEC games and historical events are also available to stream.

Altogether, ESPN+ offers tens of thousands of live sports games every year, with nearly every college sport under the sun having a presence on the streamer. SEC fans will want to keep the streamer to watch the upcoming 2025 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament, among other key events.

What Can You Watch on SEC Network?

SEC Network offers more than 1,400 live sporting events every year, with content available 24 hours a day. Its inventory includes 45 SEC football games, 100 men’s basketball games, 60 women’s basketball games, 125 softball and baseball games and additional regular season and Championship events from the SEC’s 21 annual sports. Programming also includes studio shows such as “SEC Nation,” “SEC Now” and “The Paul Finebaum Show,” and original content such as “SEC Storied,” “Rally Cap,” “TrueSouth,” “Out of Pocket” and more.

How Can You Steam SEC Network Without Cable?

There are several live TV streaming services that let you watch SEC Network without a linear cable plan. Our favorite choice for watching is Hulu + Live TV; this streamer includes SEC Network in its base package, and also gives viewers free access to the Disney Bundle, which includes ESPN+ anyway! Hulu + Live TV plans start at $83 per month after a three-day free trial.

DIRECTV STREAM is also a good choice for watching SEC Network, thanks to its five-day free trial and its larger selection of popular cable channels than any other service. You’ll have to upgrade to the CHOICE package to get SEC Network, however, which starts at $115 per month.

Fubo carries SEC Network in the markets where SEC schools are available in its Pro plan, which starts at $80 per month. However, the vast majority of viewers will have to pay an extra $15 per month in regional sports network fees, boosting the price to at least $95. Fubo offers a free trial of varying length, depending on what time of month you subscribe.

Sling TV carries SEC Network in its Sports Extra add-on pack, which costs an additional $11 per month on top of a base channel package. But even with the add-on priced in, Sling TV costs just $51 thanks to the low price of its Orange and Blue channel packages ($40 per month each, or $55 to combine into Sling Orange and Blue).

YouTube TV carries SEC Network in its base channel package, starting at $73 per month. Like Fubo, YouTube TV has a free trial of varying lengths, and it does not include any free streaming services in the subscription price.
