Does Xumo Play allow for multiple profiles on one account?

Does Xumo Play follow the path of most free streamers, or does it allow for several profiles per account?

Xumo Play does not offer the ability to set up multiple profiles on the same account.

The Xumo joint venture between Charter Communications and Comcast has launched a host of products that customers can use every day to make streaming TV and movies easier. That includes the Xumo Stream Box, the Xumo TV operating system, and the Xumo Play free streaming service.

Xumo Play has a great selection of on-demand TV shows and movies, and a wide selection of free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels in just about every genre a viewer could want. But what about the use of multiple profiles — does Xumo Play let you set up more than one profile on your account?

What you need to know about adding profiles to Xumo Play

Can you set up multiple profiles on Xumo Play?

Free streaming services like Xumo Play don’t usually allow for the creation of multiple profiles on the same account, and Xumo Play continues this trend. The streamer maintains a moderate amount of adjustable user settings overall, but only supports the use of one profile at a time.

If you’re worried about someone else in your house messing up your watch history by using your Xumo Play account, you can always remind them that their own Xumo Play is free to create and will never require a credit card or any other payment method to watch.

If you have a Xumo account that incorporates the Xumo Stream Box or a Xumo Smart TV, you can absolutely connect a family of devices to your account to access services like Xumo Play. This makes it a bit easier to enjoy a customized experience with Xumo, though it doesn’t completely replicate the experience of having multiple profiles on a Xumo Play account.

Will Xumo Play ever add multiple profile support?

Never say never, but there really is no reason for the engineers behind Xumo to code the ability to create multiple user profiles into Xumo Play. As alluded to above, customers who want to keep their viewing history exclusive to their own devices can just create their own Xumo Play account.
