Actor, ALS advocate Eric Dane has died; stream his best performances
From McSteamy to an ALS advocate, Dane was a constant part of American life for over two decades.
From becoming a household name as one of the spiciest primetime love triangles in recent memory on “Grey's Anatomy” to being an activist for research into ALSO, actor Eric Dane has been a presence in popular culture for more than two decades. Sadly, on Thursday, Dane died at the age of 53 due to complications from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
While Dane filmed one more movie that has yet to be released, “Family Secrets,” his last role was a guest appearance on medical drama “Brilliant Minds,” where he played a firefighter battling ALS. The story focused on how his character would tell his family about the diagnosis, mirroring many of the difficulties that Dane went through in his real life.
If you are hoping to celebrate Dane’s life and career this weekend, in addition to “Grey’s” and “Brilliant Minds,” we have put together a list of how you can stream some of his best and most popular roles, from his superhero turn in “X-Men: The Last Stand” to his leading man role on “The Last Ship” to his gritty, prestige television portrayal of a troubled father on “Euphoria.”
