From a missing fiancé to a decades-old murder, this Netflix thriller promises suspense.

I’m an avid reader and one of my favorite genres is a great mystery thriller. Harlan Coben, the New York Times bestselling author is one of the best, and he’s back with another novel-turned-TV-series, this time with the adaptation of his thriller, “Missing You” debuting on Netflix on Wednesday, Jan. 1. This series follows Detective Kat Donovan, whose world unravels when she discovers her missing fiancé on a dating app, leading her to reopen her father’s unsolved murder. Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the five-episode limited series, “Missing You.”

Everything You Need to Know About ‘Missing You’:

What is ‘Missing You’ About?

“Missing You” is a crime thriller mystery TV series that follows Detective Kat Donovan (Rosalind Eleazar). Years after her fiancé Josh, played by Ashley Walters, disappeared without a trace, Kat is shocked to find his profile on a dating app. This strange discovery drags her into an investigation that connects her personal heartbreak with her work as a detective. The deeper she digs, the more tangled the case becomes when she finds some unsettling links between Josh’s disappearance and her father’s unsolved murder years before - a case that still haunts her. Set against a gritty UK backdrop, the series explores themes of love, betrayal, and the relentless pursuit of the truth.
