What kinds of movies and TV series can you watch on BET+?
One of the things that makes BET+ great is that it’s the home for Tyler Perry’s entire film, TV, and stage library. First, there’s season four of “All The Queen’s Men,” a BET+ original from Tyler Perry and creator Christian Keyes. The series follows Marilyn “Madam” DeVille, a fierce and unapologetic boss ruling Atlanta’s most exclusive male exotic nightclub. She’s built an empire, but staying on top means navigating ruthless rivals, dangerous deals, and betrayals at every turn. With bold storytelling and plenty of drama, “All The Queen’s Men” delivers the kind of high-stakes action Tyler Perry fans love.
For a hit of family drama with a mix of action and suspense, ”The Family Business: New Orleans” is a must-watch. From Tyler Perry Studios and Carl Weber, this BET+ original expands the world of “The Family Business” with a brand-new setting and even bigger stakes. When a rival crime boss threatens Big Shirley Duncan’s casino empire in New Orleans, she calls in her New York family to restore order - on their own terms. Packed with power struggles, street justice, and plenty of betrayal, this series brings a fresh twist to the crime family genre.
If you love political drama with a dose of Tyler Perry’s signature storytelling, “Tyler Perry’s The Oval” brings the scandal, suspense, and high-stakes twists. The show follows a newly elected first family stepping into the White House, only to realize the biggest threats don’t come from the outside - they’re right under their own roof. With corruption, betrayal, and personal secrets threatening to tear them apart, “The Oval” dives deep into the chaos behind the most powerful address in America.
If you’ve been following Tyler Perry’s journey, then “Madea’s Farewell Tour” is a must-watch. This stage play marks Perry’s final performance as Madea, the loud, no-nonsense matriarch who’s been a fan favorite for years. In this emotional sendoff, Madea is back on stage, guiding her family through their latest drama with her signature mix of tough love, humor, and wisdom. Expect plenty of laughs, a few tears, and a farewell performance that brings Perry’s beloved character full circle.
If you’re looking for a sitcom that delivers laughs with a side of life lessons, “House of Payne” is a classic. Created by Tyler Perry, this long-running comedy follows Curtis Payne, a no-nonsense family patriarch, as he deals with the ups and downs of life with his wife, Ella, and their extended family. Between parenting struggles, career changes, and unexpected drama, the Paynes always find a way to stick together—usually with a little tough love and a whole lot of humor. Whether you’re revisiting old episodes or diving in for the first time, this show is the perfect mix of heart and comedy.
Moving away from the Perry universe, there’s plenty of other popular shows on BET+, including “Diarra From Detroit.” This BET+ Original follows a divorcing, overworked teacher who stumbles into an unexpected mystery when a dating app match leads her to believe she’s talking to a man who was abducted as a child in the ’90s. Instead of swiping left, she dives headfirst into an amateur investigation that turns her life upside down. With a mix of comedy, drama, and suspense, “Diarra From Detroit” is the kind of show that keeps you guessing while making you laugh along the way.
Carl Weber knows how to bring the drama, and “Carl Weber’s The Black Hamptons” is no exception. Set in the wealthy Black enclave of Sag Harbor, NY, this BET+ original follows the Britton and Johnson families as they clash over power, legacy, and who really runs things in this elite community. With high stakes, family rivalries, and plenty of secrets bubbling under the surface, this series delivers all the juicy twists you’d expect from Weber’s storytelling.
Finally, if you’re into true crime stories with a dramatic twist, “First Lady of BMF: The Tonesa Welch Story” dives deep into the rise of a notorious queenpin. Based on real events, the film follows Tonesa Welch as she’s pulled into the drug game in 1980s Detroit, guided by a mentor who sets her on a path of crime, power, and deception. It’s a gritty look at the high-stakes world of organized crime and what it takes to survive at the top. If you love intense dramas inspired by real-life figures, this one’s worth the watch.
