What is MINTernet?

MINTernet is Mint Mobile’s 5G home internet service. It works through a 5G gateway that connects to nearby cell towers and sends Wi-Fi throughout your home. There are no messy cables and no waiting around for a technician with a long installation process. It’s built for anyone who wants fast, reliable internet without the hassle.

Instead of traditional broadband, MINTernet runs on Mint Mobile’s partnership with T-Mobile’s nationwide 5G network. That provides access to one of the largest 5G networks in the country, featuring download speeds typically ranging from 133 to 415 Mbps and upload speeds from 12 to 55 Mbps. Those speeds are more than enough for streaming videos, gaming online, video calls, or working from home without any noticeable lag.

Plans and pricing

MINTernet offers three flexible plan durations:

• 3-month plan: $40 per month ($120 upfront)
• 6-month plan: $45 per month ($270 upfront)
• 12-month plan: $40 per month ($480 upfront)

Having a Mint Mobile phone plan makes MINTernet even more affordable, though. Adding a phone plan unlocks discounted rates: $30 per month for 3-month plans, $35 per month for 6-month plans, and $30 per month for 12-month plans.

New customers can also enjoy Minternet + unlimited premium wireless for $40 per month. To break it down, Minternet is discounted to $25 per month when paired with a Mint phone plan, and since Unlimited phone plans are just $15 per month, that means your customers are getting both Minternet and Unlimited wireless for $40 per month.

Plans are prepaid and set to auto-renew, making it easy to stay on top of costs and avoid surprise bills. Taxes and fees are separate, but the core pricing stays simple and transparent.

Unlimited data

All MINTernet plans include unlimited data. That means streaming movies, downloading files, video conferencing, or gaming won’t eat into a data cap. Heavy usage over 1TB per month may result in slower speeds during network congestion, but for most homes, the service offers ample bandwidth.

Unlimited data makes MINTernet a solid choice for replacing traditional broadband or boosting an existing connection. Streaming, remote work, and online gaming all run smoothly without worrying about overage charges.

Setup and equipment

Setting up MINTernet is designed to be fast and simple. The 5G gateway device serves as both a modem and a router, eliminating the need for additional equipment. Each order comes with:

• 5G Gateway device
• Power cord
• Quick start guide

Setup takes under 15 minutes. Place the gateway in a central spot in your home, plug it in, power it on, and connect devices to Wi-Fi. It works in most homes nationwide, and you can check availability online in just a few clicks.

Fast, reliable 5G speeds

MINTernet operates on T-Mobile’s 5G network, allowing homes to enjoy high-speed internet without the hassle of traditional broadband. Speeds vary depending on location, network traffic, and how many devices are connected, but download speeds vary between 133 and 415 Mbps, and uploads from 12 to 55 Mbps.

Heavy internet use, especially during peak hours or when multiple devices are connected, may occasionally slow speeds. Still, the service generally performs well for video streaming, gaming, and remote work.

Bundling with a Mint phone plan

Having a Mint Mobile phone plan isn’t required to use MINTernet, but it does unlock discounted pricing. Adding a phone plan knocks $10 off your monthly bill, adding up over time.

Discounts are easy to apply: when you buy both services together, you get the reduction automatically at checkout. Existing phone plan members can call Mint Mobile to add the service at the discounted rate. This approach rewards loyalty while keeping prices competitive for new and existing customers.

The internet upgrade that doesn’t feel complicated

MINTernet takes the no-nonsense style Mint Mobile built its name on and brings it into the home. It replaces the usual installation headaches with a plug-and-go setup, leans on one of the country’s largest 5G networks, and keeps pricing easy to understand. Unlimited data, straightforward plans, and optional bundle savings round out a service that feels refreshingly simple in a world of complicated internet bills.

The result is a home internet option with solid speed, predictable costs, and a setup anyone can handle. MINTernet isn’t trying to reinvent online access; it’s just making it a whole lot easier. If the goal is fast internet without the fuss, this approach hits the mark.
