Info on Paradise Season 2 casting, release date, and more.

If you got hooked on “Paradise” earlier this year, you’re definitely not alone. I loved Hulu’s political thriller, and it quickly became one of its biggest hits, pulling people in with its mix of mystery, tension, and drama only creator Dan Fogelman can deliver. After Season 1 dropped, it didn’t take long for fans to start asking the big question: what’s next? Good news — Season 2 is already on the way, and it sounds like it’s going to take the story in some interesting new directions. From new faces joining the cast to where the story picks up, here’s everything you need to know about the second season of “Paradise.”

Everything you need to know about ‘Paradise’ Season 2:

When will episodes of ‘Paradise’ Season 2 come on Hulu?

Hulu hasn’t announced an official release date for Season 2 of “Paradise” yet, but the good news is that production is already underway. According to the show’s creator, scripts are written and filming kicked off in early 2025, with hopes to get new episodes out on a normal timeline — ideally sometime in early 2026. If Hulu follows the same release pattern as Season 1, expect weekly drops, likely in the early morning hours (around 3 a.m. ET). We’ll update this as soon as a date is locked in.

Hulu

Hulu is a video streaming service that gives access to thousands of full seasons of exclusive series, hit movies, kids shows, and Hulu Originals like “Only Murders in the Building,” and “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

…

It offers a good selection of current TV shows, and its ad-supported tier is cheaper than both Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. You will be able to watch most shows from networks like ABC and Fox, and cable channels like FXX, FXM, HGTV, and more.

The service has a base plan for $11.99 a month, or you can upgrade to their ad-free plan for $18.99 a month. For $89.99 a month, you can get Hulu Live TV from major cable channels, live locals, and regional sports networks.

What is ‘Paradise’ Season 2 about?

We don’t have a full Season 2 synopsis yet, but based on where things left off — and a few hints from the creators — it’s pretty clear that “Paradise” is about to crack wide open. Xavier is flying out into the real world to find his wife, which means the show isn’t just bunker drama anymore — it’s heading into survival mode. Meanwhile, back inside, power is up for grabs, and Sinatra’s story definitely isn’t over yet. (Turns out, there’s a lot more to her mission than anyone realized.) With the outside world full of unknown dangers and the bunker crumbling from the inside, Season 2 looks like it’ll be part survival story, part civil war, and all chaos … exactly the kind of big, messy next chapter this show was always building toward.

Who’s been cast in ‘Paradise’ Season 2?

Most of the main cast from Season 1 is expected to return for “Paradise” Season 2 so you can bet on Sterling K. Brown, Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, and (probably) James Marsden, along with the rest of the core group being back. But this season’s also adding some big new names. Shailene Woodley is joining the cast in a major recurring role, reportedly playing a prominent survivor tied to Xavier’s next mission. She’s not the only one, either, as Thomas Doherty is said to be playing a biker gang leader named Link, with Michael McGrady and Timothy Omundson rounding out the crew as Geiger and Chef. Basically, it sounds like Season 2 is expanding the world and bringing in some serious new energy.

What happened at the end of ‘Paradise’ Season 1?

Spoiler Alert. There are spoilers below for Season 1 of ‘Paradise.’

Season 1 of “Paradise” ends with Xavier finally realizing there’s a much bigger world outside the bunker — and he’s willing to risk everything to find it. After spending most of the season trying to protect what’s left of his family and piece together who killed the president, Xavier uncovers the truth: millions of people actually survived the apocalypse, including his wife. With that knowledge, he makes the bold move to leave the so-called “paradise” behind. He gets his hands on a plane and heads out into whatever’s left of the world, desperate for answers — and maybe even a second chance.

And that’s just the surface. Before Xavier makes his big leap, everything inside the bunker completely unravels. It turns out the president’s assassin wasn’t some shadowy figure — it was the freaking librarian, a random guy hiding in plain sight who faked his way into the bunker after the apocalypse. Meanwhile, Sinatra’s tight grip on the community starts slipping fast. Her trusted enforcer, Jane (who is secretly a full-on psychopath obsessed with playing the Wii), shoots her, flipping the power dynamic inside the bunker. And the cherry on top? The whole reason the librarian even got into paradise in the first place is that nobody noticed he was wearing a bad bald cap. Chaos everywhere. By the end, the so-called perfect world is cracking wide open, and Xavier’s not the only one ready to jump ship. Season 2 is set to take this story way beyond the bunker — and honestly, it can’t get here fast enough.

How can you watch previous seasons of ‘Paradise’?

You can stream the first season of “Paradise” right now on Hulu. Whether you’re diving in for the first time or just want a refresher before Season 2 drops, every episode is ready to binge. With its wild twists, bunker drama, and bigger conspiracy lurking under the surface, it’s definitely worth a rewatch. Hulu costs $10 per month with ads, but you can grab a 30-day free trial if you’re a new subscriber.
