A new animated, brutal, and wild ‘Predator’ movie streams next month

Three warriors. Three time periods. One terrifying Predator.

With a background in film and branded content, he covers sports and entertainment with sharp insight and creativity. A longtime Oilers fan, he’s still holding out hope for a Stanley Cup run.
"Predator: Killer of Killers" drops Friday, June 6 only on Hulu.

I’ve always had a soft spot for the “Alien vs. Predator” movies — they’re fun, fast, and just scary enough to keep things intense without fully freaking me out. And now Dan Trachtenberg (the guy behind “Prey”) is back with a brand-new animated Predator movie. “Predator: Killer of Killers” isn’t just another sequel — it’s a full-length, R-rated anthology flick set across three different time periods, and it looks wild. Here’s everything you need to know about “Predator: Killer of Killers.”

Everything you need to know about ‘Predator: Killer of Killers’:

When does ‘Predator: Killer of Killers’ come on Hulu?

“Predator: Killer of Killers” premieres Friday, June 6, streaming exclusively on Hulu. There’s no theatrical run for this one — like “Prey” before it, the movie is heading straight to streaming. And while it’s animated, don’t expect a family-friendly tone. This is a hard-R action movie packed with blood, battles, and full-on Predator chaos. To watch it, you’ll need an active Hulu subscription.

What is ‘Predator: Killer of Killers’ about?

“Predator: Killer of Killers” is not your average animated movie. It’s a brutal, bloody, R-rated anthology set across three different eras — Viking-age Scandinavia, feudal Japan, and World War II. Each story follows a deadly human warrior facing off against the galaxy’s most lethal hunter, the Predator. Whether it’s a raider seeking revenge with her son, a ninja going to war with his samurai brother, or a pilot discovering an alien threat in the sky, each segment brings its own distinct vibe and stakes. These characters aren’t just fighters — they’re killers in their own right. But up against a Predator? They’re just prey.

From the trailer alone, the animation looks slick. The movements are fluid, the world-building feels rich, and the tone is anything but kid-friendly. This is a dark, violent, no-holds-barred take on the “Predator” universe — exactly the kind of creative freedom you’d hope for in an R-rated animated project. The last line of the trailer got me amped: “We must kill it. Or it will kill us all.” This movie is not holding back.

Director Dan Trachtenberg is back, this time co-directing with Josh Wassung from The Third Floor — the same studio that’s worked on “The Boys” and big Marvel titles. And while the stories are all set in different time periods, Trachtenberg says they’re connected by a shared question: who would actually pose a challenge for a Predator? So while this isn’t a sequel to “Prey,” it’s got that same energy — inventive, character-driven, and full of dread.

Predator: Killer of Killers

June 5, 2025

While three of the fiercest warriors in human history—a Viking raider, a ninja in feudal Japan, and a WWII pilot—are killers in their own right, they are merely prey for their new opponent: the ultimate killer of killers.

Who stars in ‘Predator: Killer of Killers’?

The voice cast of “Predator: Killer of Killers” features a solid mix of familiar sci-fi faces and fresh talent. Lindsay LaVanchy, Louis Ozawa, Rick Gonzalez, and Michael Biehn all lend their voices to the anthology’s trio of stories. Ozawa returns to the Predator universe after starring in “Predators,” while Biehn brings serious genre cred from his iconic roles in “The Terminator” and “Aliens.” There aren’t a ton of details yet on who plays which warrior, but this group feels like the right fit for a bloody, time-jumping showdown with one of sci-fi’s most terrifying hunters.

Who are the creators behind ‘Predator: Killer of Killers’?

“Predator: Killer of Killers” is co-directed by Dan Trachtenberg and Josh Wassung. Trachtenberg, who reinvented the franchise with 2022’s “Prey,” brings that same sharp eye for character and tension to this animated anthology. Wassung, from the visual effects company The Third Floor, makes his feature debut here — but he’s no rookie. His studio has worked on massive projects like “The Boys” and several Marvel blockbusters, so the film’s intense, stylized animation is in good hands. The script comes from Micho Robert Rutare, based on a story he developed with Trachtenberg. Together, they’ve built a time-hopping, action-heavy take on the Predator mythos that feels just as character-driven as it is carnage-filled.

Where can you watch all the other ‘Predator’ movies?

If you want to dive deeper into the hunt before watching “Predator: Killer of Killers,” Hulu is the place to go. Every mainline “Predator” film is streaming there, including the original classic “Predator” from 1987 and its sequel “Predator 2.” You’ll also find “Predators” (2010) and “The Predator” (2018), plus “Prey,” the fan-favorite 2022 prequel set in the 1700s. And later this year, the next live-action installment, “Predator: Badlands,” lands in theaters on Friday, Nov. 7. Whether you’re catching up or rewatching your favorites, Hulu has the full lineup ready to stream.
