Set in the same universe as ‘Yellowstone,’ ‘The Madison’ will reveal a part of Montana that fans haven’t seen much of from Sheridan so far.
Nearly a year after word was first released about the latest “Yellowstone” spinoff was announced, we finally have more details about “The Madison.” The series, starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell, will premiere in March, and Paramount+ has released a slew of first-look images. The six-episode season takes the McIntosh family from New York City to Montana as they attempt to heal following a family tragedy. Check out all of the details about the fifth installment in Taylor Sheridan’s “Yellowstone” franchise.
Everything we know so far about ‘The Madison’
When will ‘The Madison’ be released?
Paramount+ has announced that “The Madison” will premiere on Saturday, March 14. While the streamer has not yet confirmed the release schedule for the subsequent episodes, generally, Paramount sticks to weekly releases for its biggest shows. So, it is likely that the six-episode first season of “The Madison” will drop episodes weekly through Saturday, April 18.
However, a Saturday streaming date is unusual, so it is possible that Paramount will air other episodes on a different day following the premiere.

What will ‘The Madison’ be about?
“The Madison” will focus on the McIntosh family, a clan that moves from the urban confines of New York City to the Madison River Valley of central Montana following a tragedy that nearly destroyed their family. While there, they will learn how to reconnect with each other, realizing that their move represents an opportunity to heal and grow.
The streamer has said that “The Madison” is “Sheridan’s most intimate work to date.” The series will take place both in Montana and in New York City, showing how the very different settings impact one family and the things that bind them together.
Who will star in ‘The Madison’?
The series will be led by Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell as Stacy and Preston Clyburn. Beau Garrett and Elle Chapman play their daughters, Abigail and Paige. Patrick J. Adams plays Paige’s husband Russell. Matthew Fox plays Paul, Preston’s brother.
Also in the cast will be Amiah Miller and Alaina Pollack as Abigail’s daughters, Bridgette and Macy; Ben Schnetzer, Kevin Zegers, Rebecca Spence, and Danielle Vasinova. Will Arnett will also appear as a guest star in the first season.

How does ‘The Madison’ connect to ‘Yellowstone’?
“The Madison” is a spinoff of “Yellowstone,” set in the same on-screen universe. Both shows were either partially or fully created by Taylor Sheridan, and it’s likely that some characters and settings from “Yellowstone” will appear in “The Madison,” though there are no concrete details about what that will look like just yet.
Given the way that Paramount is describing the show, it is unlikely that “The Madison” will feature as many double-crosses and murders as the original series did. Based on what has been released about the show, “The Madison” appears to be a much more grounded, human story of a family rebuilding itself following a devastating loss.
Where will ‘The Madison’ stream?
Paramount has been kicking itself ever since the ill-fated decision to license the “Yellowstone” streaming rights to Peacock in 2020. The company is not likely to repeat that mistake in the future; “The Madison” will stream on Paramount+, and episodes could possibly air on the Paramount Network cable channel as well, but that has not been announced at this point.
