Hulu’s TV and movie Hubs are my favorite feature to use on the service.

Known for breaking major streaming stories, he’s covered everything from Netflix policy shifts to Peacock’s ad-tier changes. A sci-fi fan and Toshiba Fire TV user, he brings sharp analysis and a love for the genre to his reporting.
Hulu's Hubs are my favorite feature of the service.

General entertainment is great, in that it usually means there’s a variety of different types and genres of video to enjoy when the term is applied to a streaming service. But there can also be the problem of content overload on these streamers, of not knowing what sets the streamer apart from its competitors in terms of unique titles.

Hulu is one of the best general entertainment streamers on the market, but it also has a huge assortment of content to choose from. To combat this overwhelm, Hulu organizes much of its content into Hubs, which is my favorite feature of the streaming service to use.

You’ll find the Hubs tab at the top of the screen on your Hulu user interface, and that makes it really easy to access them. Once you’re on the Hubs page, and at the top of the scree,n you’ll be able to sort by all the brands associated with the Hulu platform, like Hulu Originals, 20th Century Studios, and FX.

What I appreciate so much about the Hubs page is the number of options available there that make it much less intimidating to browse the service’s vast library. The row after the one featuring top brands on Hulu offers content collections like Hulu Has Pride for LGBTQ+ content, or Animayhem for titles like “King of the Hill” and “Futurama.”

Having selections like these is so helpful from Hulu. It allows a viewer to see neat, sensibly organized categories of content that are more focused, and therefore more apt to offer exactly the kind of show or movie a viewer is seeking in that moment. It’s a far better arrangement than simply scrolling through the Hulu home page endlessly hoping for something to catch your eye.

If you want to simplify your decision further, keep scrolling down the page. You can narrow it to Entertainment hubs based on content from individual channels like AMC, Comedy Central, etc. There are also categories for Kids content, Sports, and News, and you can just scroll all of these Hubs A-Z if you prefer as well.

The Hulu app isn’t long for this world. On some unconfirmed date in 2026, Hulu will be absorbed by Disney+, and the standalone app will probably cease to exist in short order. But while you’ve got the opportunity now, I suggest you take advantage of Hulu’s Hubs while you’re using the streamer. It’s a quick way to find something new to stream on a service that might otherwise leave you feeling a bit overwhelmed for choice.

Hulu

Hulu is a video streaming service that gives access to thousands of full seasons of exclusive series, hit movies, kids shows, and Hulu Originals like “Only Murders in the Building,” and “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

…

It offers a good selection of current TV shows, and its ad-supported tier is cheaper than both Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. You will be able to watch most shows from networks like ABC and Fox, and cable channels like FXX, FXM, HGTV, and more.

The service has a base plan for $11.99 a month, or you can upgrade to their ad-free plan for $18.99 a month. For $89.99 a month, you can get Hulu Live TV from major cable channels, live locals, and regional sports networks.
