What audio accessibility options are available on Fubo?
This live TV streaming service has a great variety of channels, but do its audio dub options live up to that level of choice?
Fubo is a live TV streaming service that has a reputation for specializing in live sports. But viewers can watch much more than just sports networks on the service, including local broadcast channels, news networks, and entertainment aplenty. There’s even on-demand entertainment from various media companies to enjoy with a Fubo subscription.
But with all of that content to watch, does Fubo come with any language dub options other than English? I took a look into the streamer to find out, and you can see the results of my poking around here.
What kind of audio accessibility does Fubo offer?
Does Fubo offer any audio dubs besides English?
Although Fubo does come with a good selection of on-demand TV shows and movies, it unfortunately does not include any audio dubs that aren’t English. I didn’t find this all that surprising; after all, the streamer’s on-demand titles are licensed from other media companies, and licensed titles are often sent to a new streamer without such options.
Does Fubo offer any non-English content?
Yes, it does. I signed up for a free trial of Fubo’s Pro plan to dig into the streamer’s audio accessibility, which is the service’s lowest-priced plan with primarily English networks. That plan also has several Spanish-language channels included, and there are other Fubo options with even more of these.
In fact, Fubo has a Latino channel package exclusively dedicated to Spanish networks. This plan costs $15 per month normally, and comes with 50+ channels for viewers to browse. Fubo may not offer non-English dubs with its on-demand content, but it does have some other languages to offer.
Will Fubo offer more languages in the future?
I very much doubt that Fubo will begin offering more overdub options in the future, but it’s not impossible. The service is due to merge with Hulu + Live TV in the near future, and the deal will see Fubo fall under Disney’s majority control. That could lead to more dubbing options for Fubo at some point in the coming years.
The other possibility for more languages to be added to Fubo is in the sports arena. Fubo offers live sports from around the world, and it may continue to augment its choices with broadcasts in languages other than English going forward. Keep an eye on The Streamable to read all about it if that occurs!
