Fubo, DAZN announce multi-year partnership in Canada
The deal will allow Fubo to distribute DAZN to customers, and for DAZN to offer Fubo properties as well.
Fubo and DAZN are two of the biggest names in sports streaming, and it appears they’re getting much closer together in North America. On Monday, the two companies announced a multi-year partnership in Canada, allowing each to distribute its popular sports content on the other’s platform and bring viewers even more opportunities to see the sports they love.
Key Details:
- DAZN goes live: DAZN will begin distributing the Fubo Sports Network channel in Canada as part of the deal.
- Fubo in the zone: Fubo will carry the DAZN subscription service, as well..
- Tons of great events: DAZN will bring the NFL, UEFA Champions League, and more to Canadian Fubo customers.
The new deal between Fubo and DAZN will allow DAZN to begin offering the Fubo Sports Network, a linear TV channel owned and operated by Fubo. This channel carries UEFA Europa League soccer, Serie A, English Premier League, boxing, and other sports-related content, unlocking even more live sports for DAZN customers. DAZN subscribers are now able to add the Fubo Sports Network to their package as a bundle, with new plans available soon.
Fubo subscribers will also be able to purchase DAZN alongside their channel package or as a standalone product. Doing so will help Fubo customers consolidate their bills and gain access to all the live sports found on DAZN in Canada, including NFL football, UEFA Champions League soccer, and more.
“DAZN’s partnership with Fubo marks a major step in delivering greater accessibility to premium sports and value to Canadian sports fans,” VP of DAZN Canada Deidra Dionne said. “By combining content from two powerhouse platforms, we’re creating a more seamless viewing experience and offering one of the most comprehensive sports lineups available—whether you’re following the NFL, UEFA Champions League, or Premier League, it is now all in one place.”
The deal will also see the 24/7 boxing channel DAZN Ringside be made available to Fubo’s Canadian customers at no extra cost, on all subscription plans. It’s a solid combination of two major players in the sports streaming world, and it should bring more choice and better access to live sports to Canadian subscribers.
“Our collaboration with DAZN in Canada is a game changer for Canadian sports fans,” Fubo SVP Ben Grad said. “Fubo’s soccer-mad customers will be able to watch even more world-class soccer, including exclusive DAZN properties like UEFA Champions League and Bundesliga, through one cohesive experience. Beyond soccer, together we will offer the best in global sports where fans can access the NFL alongside the NBA, MLB, NHL, and more on Fubo.”
