Save Your Receipts When You Shop
To earn points on Fetch, be sure to save receipts from:
- Grocery stores
- Supermarkets
- Club wholesalers (Costco, Sam’s Club, etc.)
- Home improvement/hardware stores
- Pet stores
- Liquor stores
- Convenience stores
- Gas stations
Those little slips of paper are your ticket to free streaming.
Use the Fetch App to Take Photos of Your Receipts
When you get home from shopping, just lay out your receipts, open the Fetch app and hit the orange camera button on the bottom. The app will open your camera and ask to snap a photo of the receipt. Once you do, slide your finger from the bottom button to the middle of the page as indicated.
The app will assign you at least 25 points for every receipt you upload. But if you’re strategic about your shopping, you can earn even more.
The app offers bonus points for buying various brands, like Cheerios, Annie’s, Progresso, Sargento, Go-Gurt, and Jif. As of this writing, if you buy a Milky Way product, you’d get 30 points for every $1 you spend.
You can also submit e-receipts if you shop online at retailers like Amazon.
Important: If you enter the referral code SUPPORT before submitting your first receipt, you’ll get free points for signing up.
Use Points for Free Streaming
As you accumulate points, you can cash them in for credits with streaming services, movie theaters, and more.
Fetch Streaming Partners
Fetch partners with Hulu, Paramount+, and Sling TV. You can redeem points for major discounts with each of these streamers.
This opens up even more streaming options, since you could use a Hulu credit toward a discounted bundle with Disney+ and/or ESPN+. Another great choice is to apply the credit toward Hulu Live TV, which includes 33 of the top 35 cable channels and free Hulu on-demand, Disney+, and ESPN+.
Choosing Paramount+ can also unlock the Showtime library and your live local CBS station.
Sling TV is our favorite live TV streaming option for people looking to save money. You’ll get 27 of the top 35 cable channels, and you can customize your lineup in more ways than any other live streamer. Sign up and you’ll get one month free of Paramount+ with Showtime, AMC+, MGM+, and STARZ.
Limited Time: Get 50% OFF Your First Month of Sling TV

If you’d prefer to spend your points elsewhere, you can. Fetch points can be cashed in at retailers like Amazon, Nike, Advance Auto Parts, AutoZone, Home Depot, Lowe’s, lululemon, Airbnb, Apple, REI, Barnes & Noble, Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Buffalo Wild Wings, Callaway, Chipotle, CVS, Dick’s Sporting Goods, GAP, Petco, PetSmart, Google Play, IKEA, and supermarket companies like Kroger and Albertson’s.
You can even donate your points to a few charities.
Bottom Line
Although it may take a while to build up enough points to cash in a streaming credit, Fetch is simpler to use than many receipt-scanning rewards apps. The app will automatically credit you for any special bonuses, unlike other apps that require you to select the eligible items.
If you have a few moments to scan the app before you shop, you’ll have the opportunity to boost your point haul. It may be worth a slight adjustment to your shopping habits to grab the bonus rewards, especially if you’re buying a pantry item with a long shelf life.
I’ve used the app for two years and receipt scanning is a painless activity at the end of each shopping trip. If your family likes groceries from big-name brands, you may find added value since those companies are more likely to offer bonuses.
Although we wish Fetch offered a faster path to streaming and movie rewards, it’s pretty great to get that perk for minimal work.
