Happy Prime Day, to all who celebrate! Arguably the biggest shopping event of the summer is here, and Amazon is rolling out tons of deals on everything in the e-retailer’s massive collection of products and services. The experts here at The Streamable have already highlighted the best deals on streaming devices and accessories and streaming services and movies, but there are some other major streaming deals available for Prime members that don’t have to do with digital video.

For a limited time, Amazon is offering extended free trials on Audible, Amazon Music Unlimited, and Kindle Unlimited, so whether you want to listen to audiobooks, podcasts, exclusive original titles, or music this summer, or if you want to spend your free time reading, Prime Day has incredible deals for you. However, you need to hurry as these deals are only available until the end of the two-day Prime Day event on Wednesday, July 17.

What non-video streaming deals are available on Prime Day 2024?

Audible | 3 Free Months

With this deal, Prime members get three months of Audible’s Premium Plus plan for free. While most people associate Audible with audiobooks — and there are thousands available on the platform — it has much more than that to offer. In addition, you can stream titles from a massive library of Audible Originals, podcasts, plays, and more.

Members get three months of Audible Premium Plus for free. Normally the plan costs $14.95 per month, so if you sign up for the deal here, you will save nearly $45 while being able to listen to all of the biggest new releases and bestsellers, plus unlimited listening to thousands of podcasts, audio dramas, and more. After your free trial runs out, subscribers will be billed at the $14.95 monthly rate.

Amazon Music Unlimited | 5 Free Months

There has never been a better time to be a Prime member who loves music. During Prime Day, subscribers are able to get five months of Amazon Music Unlimited for free; also, non-Prime members get three months at no cost when they start a subscription. Normally, the music-streaming subscription costs $9.99 monthly for Prime members and $10.99 for non-subscribers. That means that Prime subscribers will save almost $50 over five months while non-members will save $33 in three months.

In addition to Amazon’s expansive, ad-free library of songs and albums, the Amazon Music Unlimited plan also provides access to tons of ad-free podcasts, including many of the top shows. You can also listen to your favorite songs and podcasts offline and with unlimited skips. Amazon Music Unlimited provides an HD listening experience complete with spatial audio features, so there is no better — or cheaper — way to enjoy music this summer.

While that is a great deal, it is not the only way that you can save on Amazon Music Unlimited. If you purchase a select Echo device during Prime Day, you can also get four months of the music streaming service for free. The devices included in the offer are fifth-generation Echo Dots, the all-new Echo Buds, select Echo Pops, and many second-generation Echo Buds. Between the great Prime Day savings on these devices and the four months of Amazon Music Unlimited, there are tons of savings available for Prime members and non-members alike.

For both of the Amazon Music Unlimited deals, members will be billed at $9.99 per month when either their four or five-month trial expires, while non-members will be billed at the rate of $10.99 when their three or four-month trial runs out.

Kindle Unlimited | 3 Free Months

While listening to audiobooks, podcasts, and music are all great ways to spend the summer, sometimes, nothing beats sitting on a beach, in a park, or in your backyard reading a book… especially if the book is on your Kindle. For Prime Day, Amazon is offering three months of free access to Kindle Unlimited to eligible Prime members.

The deal is only available to new Kindle Unlimited subscribers, but it represents a huge savings for bibliophiles who like to catch the biggest bestsellers and must-read classics on their e-readers. Normally, Kindle Unlimited runs for $11.99 monthly, so members taking advantage of the deal will save nearly $36. Like the other free trials, new subscribers will be billed at the current monthly rate when their three months run out, but they can cancel at any time before their free three months expire.
