How to subscribe to Disney+, alone or in the bundle

How to subscribe to Disney+, alone or in the bundle

Disney+ has a myriad of subscription options, depending on what level of service you want.

Known for breaking major streaming stories, he’s covered everything from Netflix policy shifts to Peacock’s ad-tier changes. A sci-fi fan and Toshiba Fire TV user, he brings sharp analysis and a love for the genre to his reporting.
Disney+ offers a wide range of subscription plans to sign up for

There are seemingly more products than ever that include Disney+ nowadays. You can get it bundled with Hulu, ESPN+, or Max, and viewers who subscribe to ESPN+ or Hulu with Disney+ can watch content from all three services directly through the Disney+ app. That’s before even mentioning the Marvel and Star Wars titles available on Disney+, as well as classic Disney animation, Disney Channel and National Geographic programming, and more.

So what are your options for getting Disney+? Can you sign up for the streamer by itself anymore, or do you have to buy it in a bundle? Find out the answers to those questions and how to get a Disney+ subscription for yourself below!

Everything you need to know to sign up for Disney+

Does Disney+ have a free trial?

No, at this time Disney+ does not offer a free trial of any kind for new or existing customers.

How to sign up for Disney+

Unfortunately, Disney+ makes it a bit trickier than I think is necessary to sign up for a standalone subscription. It’s much easier to sign up for the Disney Bundle with Hulu and ESPN+, or for the Disney+, Hulu, and Max bundle.

To find Disney+ only, you’ll need to:

  • Head to the Disney+ website.
  • Scroll down past the Choose your plan comparison chart to the legal fine print.
  • Locate the line under the fine print that says “Interested in only Disney+?”
  • Choose an ad-supported or ad-free subscription.
  • Create a MyDisney account, or log into your existing one.

At the top of the page, you’ll also see options for the Disney Bundle, or the Disney+, Hulu, and Max bundle. Click “Select” under either of these choices if you want to bundle your Disney+ account with more streaming choices.

What plans are available with Disney+

If you’re looking to subscribe to Disney+ alone, you have two options. The first is its ad-supported Basic plan for $10 per month, which includes features such as:

  • Up to four simultaneous streams in the same household.
  • Up to seven user profiles.
  • Screen resolution up to Ultra-High-Definition 4K.
  • No ads during playback of kids’ content.

The ad-free Premium plan comes with all of these benefits for $16 per month. In addition to those features, Disney+ Premium offers:

  • Unlimited downloads for offline viewing.
  • No ads during playback.

You can sign up for ad-supported or ad-free versions of the Disney Bundle, as well as the Disney+, Hulu, and Max bundle. Options include:

  • Disney+ and Hulu with ads: $11 per month
  • Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu with ads: $17 per month
  • Disney+ and Hulu without ads: $20 per month
  • Disney+ and Hulu (no ads) and ESPN+: $27 per month
  • Disney+, Hulu, and Max with ads: $17 per month
  • Disney+, Hulu, and Max with no ads: $30 per month

Can you share Disney+ with anyone outside your home?

Disney+ is not intended to be shared outside your household. The streamer’s terms of service forbid this practice, which means you’re not allowed to share your login information to a Disney+ account with anyone you don’t share a living space with.

What can you watch on Disney+?

If you choose to sign up for Disney+ alone, you’ll get a huge selection of content. Animated Disney classics like “Pinocchio” and “Snow White and the Seven Dwarves,” titles from the Marvel and Star Wars cinematic universes, “The Simpsons,” old favorites like “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody,” and more.

If you add Hulu to the mix, you can watch a big lineup of Hulu titles directly from within the Disney+ app, negating the need to switch apps. “The Bear,” “Only Murders in the Building,” and other beloved Hulu titles can be watched on Disney+ this way, and similarly ESPN+ content is available to stream from the Disney+ app if you’ve got subscriptions to both streamers.

If you subscribe to the Disney+, Hulu, and Max bundle, you will still not be able to watch any Max titles through the Disney+ app.

Disney+

Disney+ is a video streaming service with over 13,000 series and films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, The Muppets, and more. It is available in 61 countries and 21 languages. It is notable for its popular original series like “The Mandalorian,” “Ms. Marvel,” “Loki,” “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” and “Andor.”

…

Disney+ has several plans with or without ads. Disney+ Basic with Ads costs $11.99 / month. If you don’t want ads, you can choose Disney+ Premium with No Ads, which costs $19.99 / month.

The Premium plan also offers an annual option for $189.99 / year ($15.83/mo.).

If you’d like to add Hulu, you can bundle the two services as well, but Disney+ is also continuing to integrate the two, which will soon be an all-in-one offering.

Sports fans can also bundle ESPN Select or ESPN Unlimited, with or without ads.

Disney+ most recently raised prices on September 23, 2026 — the fourth time in as many years.

The app supports unlimited downloads (on their Premium Plans), four simultaneous streamers, up to 7 profiles, 4K streaming, and includes hundreds of avatars.

The service includes 25+ original series, 10+ original movies, 7,500 past episodes, 100 recent movies, and 400 library titles, including the entire Disney Vault.

You can see the full list of available Disney, Disney Channel, Star Wars, Pixar, Marvel, Nat Geo shows and movies, or all available Disney+ content by checking out our Disney+ streaming movie listings.
