How To Stream Formula 1 Racing: Qualifying, Races, On-Board Cameras, Free Options, More

The best way to stream the 2024 Formula 1 racing season is either with a subscription to Hulu + Live TV, or with a subscription to F1 TV.

Formula 1 racing brings pulse-pounding high-speed action from glamorous locations around the globe. And in 2024, it’s never been easier to catch all the best races on your TV, computer, or mobile device. Are you ready? Start your engines and follow along.

All the Ways to Stream F1 Racing

Watch Formula 1 Racing on F1 TV

A subscription to F1 TV allows you to watch all the practice and qualifying rounds, along with the races themselves in the largest championship season ever, now with a 24-race schedule. The service starts at $3.49 per month (or $29.99 per year) for F1 race replays, exclusive F1 documentaries, and access to an archive of 650+ historic races.

But to watch F1 race live streams, you need to subscribe to the “Pro” plan for $10.99 per month (or $84.99 per year). That will give you additional live onboard cameras, pre and post-race coverage, alternate race feeds, and team radio during the race, along with live streams of F2, F3, and Porsche Supercup races. You also get a premium ad-free experience and stream across six devices simultaneously at no extra cost.

Watch Formula 1 Racing on the Networks of ESPN With a Live TV Streaming Service

ESPN Networks are the home of Formula 1 racing primarily on ESPN and ABC, but with occasional broadcasts on ESPN2 and ESPNews. This means that Hulu + Live TV, DIRECTV STREAM, Fubo, Sling TV, and YouTube TV all carry the needed channel.

Sling TV might seem like an unusual choice because it only provides access to ABC in a handful of local markets, but, since the low-cost live TV streaming service offers ESPN3, you can always stream every sporting event from ABC. You can also watch select races on ESPN+.

Watch Formula 1 Racing on Hulu + Live TV:

Hulu + Live TV is our favorite way to watch the 2024 Formula 1 racing season, especially now that it offers a three-day free trial. And with plans starting at $76.99 per month, you can save a bit of money by going with this service. Not only does it carry all of the channels you need to watch the Practice / Qualifying rounds and races of each F1 race but it also includes Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu in the price, which is a $14.99 monthly value. That makes Hulu + Live TV too good of a bargain to ignore for F1 fans looking to optimize their budgets.

Keep in mind that on Oct. 17, Disney will raise the price of nearly all of its streaming products, including Hulu + Live TV. Both the plan that includes the ad-supported Disney bundle and the one that comes with the ad-free option will increase by $6 per month. So, it might be worth looking into a lower-cost option when that kicks in.

Watch Formula 1 Racing on Fubo:

You can watch all the coverage of the 2024 F1 season with Fubo as the service carries the channels you need, but not in their standard plan. In order to get ESPN3, ESPNews, and ESPNU, you need to upgrade to the “Elite with Sports Plus” plan for $114.99 per month. That’s pretty steep when you compare it to the Hulu + Live TV price point with the same offering plus access to Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu. That said, with Fubo you will get access to NBA, NHL, and MLB regular season games in many markets, and Fubo also carries NFL Network for football fans.

Watch The 2024 Formula 1 Racing Season on YouTube TV:

There’s nothing bad or wrong about YouTube TV, it’s a good live TV service overall; it just comes up a little shorter than the other services on our list. Plans start at $72.99 per month for this service, and while you will get all the channels you need to watch the F1 season, you won’t get much in the way of free extras with this service.

Can You Watch 2024 Formula 1 Racing on Sling TV?

That depends on where you live. Sling TV offers ABC in its Blue plan in eight major markets across the country: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Houston, Raleigh-Durham, and Fresno. So if you live near one of these cities, you can watch with a subscription to Sling TV. For a limited time, you can get 50% off your first month of any plan that the live TV streaming service offers. Without the deal, the Sling Blue package (which includes ABC, Fox, NBC, and other major sports carriers) costs $40 per month, but you can subscribe for just $20 for the first month. Likewise, the Orange plan runs $40 but includes ESPN, TBS, and TNT, but you can get it 50% off for one month.

Watch 2024 Formula 1 Racing Content on FAST Channel “Formula 1 Channel”

FAST stands for “free ad-supported streaming television.” These services don’t require a subscription and instead serve advertising throughout their programming.

In April of 2024, Formula 1 introduced a new FAST channel, the “Formula 1 Channel,” offering free, around-the-clock content for fans in the U.S. This channel provides replays and highlights of F1, F2, F3, and F1 Academy races, along with full reruns of historic Grands Prix and well-known documentaries. Plus, viewers can catch detailed highlights and expert analysis of current seasons, with replays available five days after the races.

The channel, which launched before the 2024 Miami Grand Prix, is available through platforms like Samsung TV Plus, Freevee and Pluto TV.
