Philo has a collection of popular cable channels that viewers who don’t need live sports or local broadcast channels will love, plus on-demand access to content from AMC+, discovery+, and even HBO Max for a base price of only $33 per month.

But does paying less for Philo mean it’s harder to change the streamer’s settings when you have an account? Here’s how to change the login information associated with your Philo account, update your payment details, and more.

How to change login credentials on Philo

It’s easy to change your email address and mobile number on Philo. Anyone who has used a streaming service before will find the experience intuitive and familiar enough; simply use the following instructions to change your login credentials on your Philo account:

  1. Click here to log into Philo.
  2. Find your profile icon in the top-right corner of the home screen.
  3. Click Settings in the drop-down menu.
  4. Click Edit next to your email address or mobile number.
  5. Change your settings to match your preferences.

Can you change your password with Philo?

Philo does things a little differently than some other streamers — it doesn’t have passwords in the traditional sense. Viewers can keep their account secure with an email address or mobile number, and Philo will send an authentication link to that number or account when you need to log in again, instead of having you create a password.

How to change payment details on Philo

You can change payment details on Philo just as easily as login information. Simply:

  1. In the drop-down menu that appears when you hover over your profile icon, click Account.
  2. Scroll down to Payment.
  3. Click Enter New Payment.

What other settings can you change on Philo?

In the Settings menu, you can also toggle the following preferences: Start channel playback from live, autoplay of next video, and use of audio descriptions for visually impaired audience members.

The Settings menu also allows you to see all the devices you’re logged into your Philo subscription with, and sign out of those devices as well.

The Account section will help you get started with your HBO Max and discovery+ subscriptions, view details about your subscription, and redeem a promo code. You can also manage add-ons to your Philo account in this section.
