Paramount+ has a pretty big library on its own, but upgrading a subscription to Paramount+ Premium expands your inventory to include SHOWTIME titles like “Dexter: Resurrection,” “Yellowjackets,” and many more. And of course, Premium subscribers get to watch Paramount+ content with no ads during playback.

What you need to know about upgrading to Paramount+ Premium

How many ad-free plans does Paramount+ offer?

Paramount+ offers a single ad-free plan: its Premium subscription, which currently costs $13 per month, or $120 per year. However, in January the streaming service is raising the cost of its Premium subscription to $14 per month or $140 per year.

How to upgrade to ad-free Paramount+

To change your subscription from the ad-supported Paramount+ Essential plan to the ad-free Premium tier, log into the Paramount+ website and find your profile icon in the top-right corner. Hover over it with your cursor, and in the drop-down menu that appears, click Account.

Scroll down to Edit Plan, and you can upgrade to the ad-free Paramount+ Premium plan or change from monthly billing to an annual subscription. However, it does not appear that subscribers who are already using the annual plan have a method of switching back to monthly outside of canceling their subscription and signing up again.

What comes with a Paramount+ Premium subscription?

Paramount+ Premium allows viewers to watch select content in Ultra-High-Definition 4K, HDR10, or Dolby Vision. Viewers can also enjoy Dolby Atmos when streaming Paramount+ Premium on select devices, and stream on up to four devices simultaneously. Premium subscribers also get to download episodes for offline viewing, and may also stream their local CBS station live at any time of day.

Paramount Plus

Paramount+ is a subscription video streaming service that includes on-demand access to 40,000+ TV show episodes from BET, CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., and more. Get free access with a Walmart+ subscription.

Paramount+ includes “1883,” “Tulsa King,” “Star Trek: Discovery,” “SpongeBob SquarePants,” and “PAW Patrol.” Subscribers can watch the NFL, college football, The Masters, college basketball, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Serie A, and NWSL. The service also offers the option to watch your live CBS affiliate. The upgraded ad-free package includes premium movies and shows from Showtime.
