About 2024 Formula 1 Mexico City Grand Prix

The 2024 Mexico City Grand Prix is the 20th race of the largest championship season ever, now with a 24-race schedule. It takes place over 71 laps of the 4.304-kilometre Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City. It’s particularly grueling for drivers because it sits over 2km above sea level, making the track a breathless experience. While the track follows the original 1959 circuit closely, Peralta corner is now bisected so it runs through old Foro Sol baseball stadium, giving drivers one of the most unique views on the circuit. When it comes to F1 standings, Max Verstappen (354) still sits atop the leaderboard but his lead is narrowing, with Lando Norris (297) gaining ground in second place, and Charles Leclerc (275) in third.
