The NASCAR Quaker State 400 Playoff Race will take place over 260 laps of Atlanta Motor Speedway’s 1.5-mile tri-oval racetrack, boasting 24 degrees of banking in the turns and 5 degrees on the straightaway. This is the first race of the three-race Round of 16 NASCAR Playoffs. The 10-race playoff schedule consists of four rounds, with four drivers eliminated every three weeks.
Any driver who wins a race automatically advances to the next round, while the four drivers with the fewest points are eliminated at the end of each round (unless they win a race). The standings automatically reset at the start of each round based on playoff points accumulated during the regular season.
