Everything you need to know about 2025 Academy Awards Red Carpet coverage
Why The Streamable recommends watching the 2025 Academy Awards Red Carpet on Sling TV
Cinephiles know that the biggest night of the year starts long before the awards are given out. So, if you need a live TV streaming service to watch both the Oscars and its red carpet, and also want a streamer that will provide you access to all of your favorite broadcast and cable channels, then Sling is the best option for you. While the platform doesn’t come with a free trial, Sling is the cheapest way to watch the best that traditional television has to offer. Not only will the Oscars red carpet air on ABC, but it will also be available on E! and both channels are included in Sling’s Blue plan.
Both of Sling’s base plans (Orange and Blue) cost just $46 per month. This makes it the cheapest way to stream the red carpet and the Academy Awards, as well as tons shows, movies, sports, and news. If you’re a new customer, Sling is also offering a 50% discount off your first month of service. So, this means that you can watch the Oscars for as little as $23 and get a full month of Sling Blue service for as little as $23. If you want even more channels, you can package the Blue plan with the Orange for $62 per month — still $20 cheaper than every other major streamer. However, for the first month, it will only cost you $31.
Keep in mind that Sling does not offer ABC in every market, so make sure that you know whether or not you will get the broadcast before signing up for the service. Fortunately, E! is available across the country on the Blue plan.

Can you stream 2025 Academy Awards Red Carpet coverage for free?
There are a total of four streaming services that will let you watch Oscars red carpet coverage for free. DIRECTV STREAM is the first; it comes with a five-day free trial, and includes both E! and ABC in all plans in most of its markets. Once the trial ends, DIRECTV STREAM starts at $87 per month.
Hulu + Live TV plans come with a three-day trial, after which subscriptions start at $82 per month. It comes with ABC and E! as well, and free access to the Disney Bundle with all plans starting at $83 per month too!
While those two services are pretty straightforward, these next two options are a little bit more difficult to navigate. Fubo has a trial between two and seven days in length, depending on a variety of factors. Its Essential plan carries ABC and E!, and costs $85 per month. YouTube TV’s trial spans between two days and two weeks, and it too carries ABC and E!. Once the trial ends, YouTube TV starts at $83 per month.

What are all the services you can use to stream the 2025 Academy Awards Red Carpet?
DIRECTV STREAM, Fubo, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, and YouTube TV are the five services you can use to stream red carpet action from the Oscars this year. As we said, Sling TV is our favorite, but if you are looking to find a long-term streaming service and want to avoid the potential of having to pay more if price hikes strike, then DIRECTV via Internet is your best bet. Packages start as low as $70 per month and come with a two-year price guarantee. This, of course, locks you into a two-year contract, but with prices increasing fairly regularly, it is understandable why this would be an attractive offer to many people.
Ultimately, there are tons of different ways to stream the ceremony, and while we recommend Sling TV as the best way to stream all of the entertainment that Hollywood has to offer, you have plenty of options to find the platform that meets your needs.
